Software fixes via the Internet are great, if you have reliable Internet or Internet at all. Not so in rural America where we have dead zones and slower speeds. Not everyone has a Ford Mobile Tech available, especially when you live rural. Ford advertises they will come get your vehicle, service it, and bring it back. Not my dealer; too small, not enough employees. They do have a courtesy driver to take you home if they need the vehicle but won't do it for me because I live five miles outside their radius. Dealers are franchises with varying policies. My rural dealer takes personal checks for service and parts. The largest dealer in Wichita only takes cash or credit card. Just have to deal with it.

Ours was one of the first ones that had the bad brake booster, you can read my thread about it. The dealer had it for 2 weeks, couldn't figure it out, we had a real problem with them so we're a bit more sensitive to more recalls. They told us Ford had no idea what the problem was, then a couple weeks after we got it back and the brakes were still iffy, the recall came out. And we have the 2.3L and production time would have been the first quarter, so here we go again. Very frustrating paying this much money for a new truck and having these problems. They do not have a fix for the EGR valve yet, estimated at Sept. We've spent a lot of our time at the dealership that shouldn't have happened if they did enough testing and quality control. All the manufacturers seem to be ok with sending vehicles out the door with issues that should have been caught. Seems like we should all get compensated for the time lost to take them into the dealership and wait and wait....(my thought for the lawsuit for compensation). It delayed our trip by a month last year. My background in the past was I.T. and if we let something go out with 'bugs' in it, we lost our jobs. Sorry for the rant. Hopefully the EGR will not affect us while we are driving until it gets fixed. And yes I love the truck still. She is Bad Ass Blue.
Your complaint is legit. Ford is known for recalls.
Sometimes I don’t know why Ford Motor Corporation doesn’t make a movie called ā€œTotal Recallā€šŸ˜‚
