That's a pretty broad range . You would think one built in Feb 2024 would be a 2024 model. Heck even up to Sept should be a 2024 model.

My thoughts exactly. Mine is a 10/24 build and is a 2024.

Interesting, there is nothing about this on Ford's website yet, either for my Ranger or the wife's F 150. My wife's F 150 does have a different Safety Recall listed though, "On your vehicle, the initial start of trip seatbelt chime may not play from the audio head unit ahu at vehicle start up if the 12-VOLT battery is at a low state of charge. A missing audible seatbelt chime can result in decreased seatbelt usage, increasing the risk of injury during a crash."

No seatbelt chime??? I should probably impound her truck for such a dangerous defect! Does anyone actually conciously hear the seatbelt chimes anymore?

i remember always unplugging the little speaker to get rid of the door chime and specifically unplugging the seat belt wire so it wouldn;t go off all the time, back in the day

Does anyone know why 24's with the electronic brake boost are not included in this recall? My 24 Lariat (October 24 build date), has electronic boost, and was not included in this recall.

I have a November 2024 build date and I have the old brake system,not the electronic boost so I am definitely not part of the recall,although I just heard about a new recall yesterday for Side Curtain Airbag shield, (whatever that is?)

Yes thats a possiblity Wonder why some 2024's have that brake system and others dont?
Like Ford was just building rangers with whatever parts they could get that day on the assembly line

probably a running part change

seems to be more common these days

could be for a variety of reasons including availability of parts.

im guessing ford is always juggling parts supplies both internal production and those from suppliers.

I could see how in particular near the end of production year you might have to swap to the newer part

so you got a 24.5

I think I felt that the other day pulling up to a gas station. I though I pressed the wrong pedal.
