I'll be getting Premium when my trial expires. I need the data connectivity as I don't have unlimited data on my phone and to do so would be a minimum +60 a month. I'll take the $10. AA uses the truck data when connected. That's my only reason for it.
Sorry, been busy. Transmission replaced. Don't have details on the issue, but trans started showing other signs of issues - lazy shifts except under hard acceleration, hard downshifts, unwillingness to downshift without heavy throttle input.
New (not reman) trans is night and day better...
1. No way I'm aware of. Mine does this if I restart within a short time, but not a long time. Like overnight they won't come on automatically. Not an issue for me.
2. Not that I've found
I also had mine set to come on with remote start if temp warrants it. That's nice, but it defaults to the...
I've not heard one single failure of starters on the rangers...5g or 6g. Not that it hasn't happened. Start/stop bugged me at first, but I got used it and it's a "whatever" think for me. I actually find it annoying when it DOESN'T activate when it's supposed to. Usually due to battery charging...
6500mi on Lariat FX4 2.7. I love the truck. It could be more refined, but I'm nitpicking. Came from a 21 Lariat Tremor and don't regret it. Only thing I miss is the Fox shocks, but also glad I don't have them to have to rebuild all the time.
Would I buy again? Yes. Yes I would. ESPECIALLY the...
Same here. Still waiting. Though, now that I've driven it for some months, not sure I need the extra power. Truck has fantastic power. It even startled me the first time I gave er the beans to pass someone. Not dangerous, but I wasn't expecting to do 40 to 80 so quick. And I grew up on street...
Just to chime in here....my '25 Lariat did this occasionally and I couldn't put it together. It's like it's not registering that it's time to go to sleep....something was keeping it awake.
That being said, I haven't experienced this issue since I got the update for the brake issue/recall.
Got your message and replied.
Just got back from a couple hundred mile trip. It's certainly getting worse. I now hear it on downshifts as well. It's happening with the truck/trans warmer then it had been.
Goes in tomorrow.
Shouldn't have to pay a thing, it's under warranty.
My v6 felt a lot more sensitive the first 2-3 months but now seems less so. I don't know if this is me getting used to it or actual, but it feels like I have to squeeze the throttle more to get the same response as I used to.
First (non-muscle car) I've owned that I didn't have to floor it any...
The single feature I couldn't do without now is the performance headlights. I frequently drive curvy mountain roads at night and having the headlights follow the road/turn is amazing.
Second: The corner/turning lights. I has saved 2 peoples lives so far as it's dark where I turn into my complex...
I have this whine, more like a low hooooooooonk. Always lower gears. From shift command to shift complete, I can hear it pretty well. Also always cold. I've noticed I can hear it to a lesser extent on downshifts as well. Trans seems to be OK, but I've noticed some odd shifting behavior. Setting...
The options for the hybrid modes are disabled if you don't have the HK6 kit.
And most people don't have the knowledge to do it themselves. Or want to. It's their profession, do it or find other work, IMO.
I purchased a Viofo a329s with the HK4 hard wire kit and had a local shop (Car friggin Toys) do the install.
First, Install and dash cam would come on when opening the doors and waking the truck up. Start truck and dash went to parking mode.
Went back to the shop 5-6 times and every time, the...
Same here on my '25 Lariat. My '21 Lariat Tremor seemed to be accurate, though. And its not solar loading or anything, it's the same way when I leave my parking structure at work at night (midnightish). Wish it was more accurate.
This is what I have and no problems at all. Signal is the same as stock. Stubby also doesn't hit my parking garage sprinkler pipes that hand down like the stock one does, so bonus.
I didn't for my '21 Lariat Tremor and regretted it. I got it for my '25 and so glad I did. Your use case is a bit different with the topper, so I don't know how that sways things.
