I just drove home my 2024 Ranger Lariat and the antenna is the only thing I haven't heard much about. I had a Honda CRV with a mini flex antenna and the salesman told me to remove it in a carwash.

Thanks

I have zero problems with the OEM antenna while going through the car wash.

Stubby antenna is great in car wash. Mine is 4 inch tall. Looks great and works like the original.

Mine works great. I didn’t take the original antenna through the car wash. But I’ve taken the stubby through a few times…no issues.

Only issue I've had is losing radio signal in downtown area with large buildings, only small.issue.

I haven't had issues with carwashes, but if you care about AM/FM reception and don't live and exclusively drive in an area where all of your station signals are strong and the terrain is favorable to good reception, then you may be disappointed with a stubby. For a better explanation of exactly why, I found a decent post on another forum: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...e-loss-of-gain-in-the-radio.41399/post-803809

No problem with the OEM antenna and automated carwash.
Aftermarket splash guards (Musology) on the other hand, 3 of them knocked loose and holding on by only 1 clip. Those push pins are not up to par. I'll will reinstall them with screws, eventually.
