does anybody have anything available that would fit this requirement? Real rock sliders?
Options like steps are nice, but mainly I want real sliders, preferably ones that could be bolted on, which would make them easy to repair if necessary, but welded on would be better than nothing.
I saw the entry https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/frame-mounted-sliders.14255/ about Rhino4x4, and that's an option, but I wonder if there are any other options?

My truck will be going to Metal Tech 4x4 for R&D in February. The truck will be able to scanned, laser cut and fitment verification quickly and followed up by production version within a few days, not weeks.
if you’re not familiar with their sliders or other products, her is an example of their trade marked two stage ”bump out” rub rail.

I’ve read the”misinformation“ section of the rocky road sliders and have concerns over their mounting system. I researched their reviews to learn a reviewer stated he was impressed with how heavy duty they are and how well they fit to the factory mounting locations.
Their Ranger Raptor mounting system is bolted to the structural side collision panels. This leads me to believe it would work well with lateral force, but maybe not vertical forces of dropping down on top of a rock or break over angle/high centering protection. They do lift the truck up with a forklift….so there’s that.
Maybe a Ford engineer can chime in with their $.02?
In any case, I’m choosing frame mounted unless a qualified engineer states otherwise.
BTW, no hate intended for Rocky Road

These are some that I found and was thinking about.

Rock Sliders
I looked at Rocky Road Outfitters. Placed an order in early November, finally early January they told me it was ready to ship. I’m still waiting without much more than them blaming freight shipping, so may be canceling the order. Really unfortunate because I really like the rock sliders

I wanted to keep this thread alive so everyone knows the progress.
My truck is slated to have Metal Tech 4x4 design, fab and install their trademarked rock sliders with the kick out the week of March 3rd.
I will ask them to take photos of rhe process if they can. In rhe meantime (or after you see the final product) make sure you reach out to them with your interest so they see the interest.

I did install the Rocky Road ones on my Raptor, then I spent the extra time doing their 'heavy duty' install which means drilling through the pinch weld (a dull bit and tight clearances made it quite the arduous job) and mounting them with plates that sandwich the weld. They say it's heavy duty enough to take hits and pivot. I've been offroad but I don't intend to take this truck on the Rubicon or anything nuts. I'm fairly certain I'll never take a high-speed drop onto rocks.

I'm sure Frame Mounted are stronger, but I don't know if that really matters if the pinch-weld support suffices to lift the truck by the rails without bending or breaking anything (and it appears it does).

Hot Metal Fab's frame mounted does seem easier to bolt in minus the one frame hole it needs drilled. Minus the price (and the fact that they weren't out for long when got my Rocky Road Sliders), I might have gone that route.

Yes, that's what I meant.
Although there's a couple frame-mounted options here that seem to be stout enough.

Your timing is impeccable! I have the Beta sliders mounted since Friday. I took photos this am. Mark from Metal tech 4x4 took photos and installation video as well. Email [email protected] for build specs.
Uses existing frame holes(no drilling) and they lined up my ASFIR plate to work with the middle slider mount. These rub rail is angled up to allow for easy entry/exit and include the newly designed pinch weld guard. This allows more protection and provides a clean look by hiding the pinch weld.
Mark and his team are knee deep in sliders and bumpers for the 200 series LC.
Reach out to him if you are interested or want more photos. No shade on my dirty truck. I drove over Santiam pass in a blizzard and went to a rock pit on Sunday for some pew pewing. I did try and wash some of the cinder off so it would t look horrivle.
