Front bulkhead 1” gap.

Looking for inspiration on ways to fill the height gap on the bulkhead on my bed. My cap is ready to go on but I have the Ranger 1” gap. Currently I have a piece of angle aluminum I’m considering on using, but that won’t really hold water out unless I get creative with sealant. Thanks all!

Thank you! I failed to mention I have a piece of 3/4” and 1/4” square aluminum too to consider trying. I went to Lowe’s and bought anything that I felt may make sense to fill in the area. Lol.

Also, how did you secure it to the top of the bed? Just use the sealant tape to hold in place till the cap went on?

When I ordered a soft tonneau cover, they included a 1x1-1/8" hard foam strip that had adhesive on the bottom. I cut it to length to fill the width of the gap. It seals on the bottom of the cover frame. Might be something you could look into.

What kind of cap are you getting and who is installing it? My A.R.E. dealer said they have a seal kit for that.
