Front Collision Avoidance system conflicts with front license plate.

thanks, I guess I learned something today.

I now see that I only have #1 Camera......not the #2 Radar sensor since the base model comes with regular cruise control , NOT radar cruise control. I dont have bumper sensors either.

The front collision avoidance system also works together with the upper windshield camera. Make sure the upper portion of the windshield around the rearview mirror is clean.

the forward collision avoidance IS the camera above the mirror. thats the adaptive cruise control radar. My xlt does not have adaptive cruise. But does have Forward Collision Avoidance.

Same with the base model XL/STX only has the camera and that is for the Collision Avoidance. I too learned something

It's not really those sensors it's the one right under the license plate. Only really affects the ones that have that black plastic piece. Don't think the XL/XLT's have that.

thats the adaptive cruise control radar box in the middle of the grill. my XLT does have the forward collision avoidance camera above the mirror. and those 2 sensors are the front parking sensors.. the forward collision, auto highbeams, etc is standard xlt and up. adavtive cruise comes with the technology package.

Forward collision and auto high beams are standard on all Rangers. That little camera senses it all.
I was looking at mine today and there are defroster lines in the windshield areound the camera.
It must run all the time?
