I am putting a 2” level kit next week and already had the wheels/tires so figured I would try them out on stock. I was surprised how well they fit; there is just a slight bit of rubbing on the fender liner at full lock, I can easily live with it until it is leveled.

How much poke do you have? How’s the ride with the E rated tires?

Looks great!

There is a little bit of poke, will probably need to bolt on some mud flaps. TBD on ride quality. This is my first set of pizza cutters but I've had a few sets of E rated Falkens over the years, different sizes on different platforms, all had a decent ride.

I have a Lariat FX4 with stock wheels and 255/70/r18 wildpeak a/t4w’s and they don’t rub at all. They are the same* diameter as yours (32.1”).

*correction - yours are an inch taller. The 2in lift you are planning should fix that.

Its because of the offset. To clear large tires you want to get as close to the control arms as possible without rubbing.
Well, it is close… finger space close…

I think his size are a true 33" tire

For people who want the easiest offroad mod for the FX4 these size tires with a leveling kit makes the truck a whole lot more capable. Previous gen Tacoma guys have been doing 2" lifts with 255/80R17's for a long time.

I'm new to Ford but I've done a few different wheel\tire size combos over the years on Toyota\Lexus and found taller and skinnier work best for me here in CO. Just a few miles on this setup but everything feels pretty good. The new 4's do feel better than the 3's on highway at speed. The wheels aren't light but no vibrations and everything feels balanced\true. Wish I could do a Dobinsons stage 2 but will have to live with a level for now.

Thanks! Hat's off to you guys; I think you knocked it out of the park with this platform! And I hope I am saying the same thing in 10 years! 😉

Thanks and yes, safe in the stable! Looking forward to seeing pictures with your 2” level. I have mine from fordrangerlifts.com already. Getting ready… lol. Enjoy your truck!
