I found 4, Mich and Ohio that are equipped how we want it. These 2 states have reciprocal tax agreements so I wouldn't have to pay state tax twice. Saved them on cars.com and then i get this email from Ford :
Guess I'll grab the popcorn and wait a bit to see what happens. At least this should be about 3 more payments made leaving me with 3 more payments to go if it gets delivered....

Played this game with the Broncos, ended up waiting 2 years but production was different for Bronco vs RR. When I decided to purchase, searched dealers on Autotrader and was EASILY able to purchase one at MSRP one week after started looking and this was September last year. just put in the leg work and you dont necessarily have to wait for the order

Good luck. I get updates every 45 days. Same thing every time, we are working getting your vehicle scheduled.
Got tired of waiting, when I found it could be two years before my dealer gets enough allocations to take care of their RR order backlog. No telling where mine falls in the mix.
Found a RR on the ground equipped exactly as my ordered unit, to so I bought it
Ask your dealer how many allocations they have and how many they normally receive.
My recommendation is buy your popcorn from Amazon on a monthly subscription.

Thanks I plan to do just that keep checking stock. My sales guy has been there a while so he knows his stuff however he seems a bit vague regarding allotments so I'm gonna ask his boss, I'm patient but I like to have a better understanding of the timing of allotments and who gets what...

You may want to check out the Long McArthur Ford YouTube channel. Tim does a great job at explaining Ford's allocation system. He also tells what models are scheduling each week.

Checked in with the dealer I placed my order with back in October. They said it would likely be summer before I'd get the truck. Meanwhile, there are lovely 2025 ZR2 Bison's at the chevy dealer down the street, on the lot, for sale TODAY. I really don't get Ford. If you have problems, just communicate with the people who placed orders, but they just don't seem to give a damn. Perhaps their stock will go down some more after the 7% crater today and the idiots in charge will get fired by the board, here's hoping.

I'm sorry I won't be able to join the Ranger Raptor club, but I need a truck and waiting until summer isn't an option. Best to all of you, I hope you (eventually) get your trucks.
That's strange. I ordered mine in February and I got a build date of May 5th.

It's all about dealer having an open allocation. The stars were all in alignment when you placed your order.

If a dealer doesn't have an open allocation I would just move on to another dealer.
When I ordered my 2024 Ranger Raptor my dealer had an allocation and it took 4 months from order to delivery. That's pretty good in this day and age and being a Ford Performance vehicle.
Many years ago I ordered a 2011 F150 FX4 and took delivery in 34 days.

Back in 1978 I ordered F150 4x4 XLT and it came in 4 weeks later. Oh I long for those days, heck I had a full spectrum of colors to choose from. Plus you could get custom colors for a fee. Now you get 50 shades of grey.

I just ordered my RR this week and yes there allocations are spent but allegedly they get "more allocations" as the year goes on. I can't get a straight answer on when Ford will grace them with another allocation and then they may not be offered RR. I will give it some time but I plan to ask one of the managers for a more concrete window of opportunity. I am patient and can wait as long as i have a reasonable time frame.

They had an ordered white RR delivered last week, that buyers finances fell thru so I at least got to drive it and confirm it fits in my garage (6.5' door ). I declined a white one. They have a Green one on the way for another customer who ordered it and I'm on top of the list in case they back out. I will also start looking at other dealers who have allocations left as a back up plan. I was told that Ford won't let them sell them for less than sticker so whoever wants my business gets it 1st.
Is the dealer charging more than MSRP for ordering a RR? In the Denver area they are, or were last year.

Not here in Indiana or Ohio at least those I've seen listed new about 50%+ of the Illinois dealers are over msrp.

My buddy i bought cars from for decades passed away, he would show you what they have in it on the PC and sell it to me just over that, new or used. Now I really can't get anyone to do the same and tell me how much a dealer RR costs them... it's hard to swallow sticker cost and 5% + interest rates when I was used to anywhere between 0%-2.9%..

I encountered the same problem here in Texas and Louisiana. I increased my search radius and found a RR in Minnesota under MSRP. Great dealership with no markups at all. Sells at advertised price! No game playing, just an old fashion dealership that values relationships over max profits. Salesman said 70% of their sales are to returning customers. If Minnesota is not too far away I can give you the contact info for them.

Yes please send me the info and website if you have it. Did they collect your home states sales tax ? And if so hopefully they didn't also collect Minnesota sales tax on top of that. I've heard of a few states that double dip

Chuck Spaeth Ford in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota
My salesman is Alex Lux, 507-794-3673. They did not collect any taxes, title fees, inspection fees. Only charge was a $275 doc fees which I thought was not out of line. The shipping cost was wrapped into the deal. Shipping costs worked out to be about $1 a mile.
For their website just Google the dealership.
