Brake boost broke something. My axels probably look like what was posted earlier!!
Are you brake boosting while in 4H? Just curious.

I'm considering the 91 octane Goosetune, but seeing stuff like this makes me paranoid.

I'm not throwing shade at arandazz at all but it looks like he is a pretty aggressive use case.

From his post history it looks like he was running an e40 tune and going after 11's in the quarter mile. He was brake boosting in second gear and pulled off an impressive 1.88 second 60ft time. He was also continuing to launch after his diff started making noise.

Again, I'm not criticizing arandazz, in fact, I applaud his efforts and willingness to push the limits of his vehicle providing the rest of us with valuable information. I simply want to provide you the confidence to safely tune and run your truck and know its capabilities and limits.

I would say normal driving with the extra power would not damage the diff / axels. I’m at 19k miles and daily drive it with a heavy foot. No brake boost launches until last week with the E40 tune. I was reluctant to go full tilt on the launch but wanted to see what It could do. 1st run was successful. 2nd was instant failure. Stood on the brake, press the gas and snap. No forward movement at all. Once it’s apart we will see what actually failed.

Did just replacing the axle fix it? Or was more damaged?

Same thing happened to me brake boosting with the FP tune. Ford gave me a new axles shafts and a gear set. I'd still happily run an ethanol tune in the future and not be worried about reliability in the slightest. Just maybe no more launches:)

I finished my last round of tuning with Winfield today. It has been a pleasure to work with him.

Winfield has been very responsive especially considering our timezone difference. He is polite, helpful, and most importantly my truck rips now. It is a night and day difference when compared with the ford performance tune.

I tow a small boat often and purchased the tow tune as well. I'm looking forward to working with him getting that dialed in.

I've worked with multiple remote tuners on everything from mk7 gti to mk7 golf r to gr86 to 6.7 powerstrokes. Wifield has been a pleasure to work with and should be considered among the best.
