is the intake and inter cooler a must before tuning? Or best bang for the buck beside the tune?
I would highly recommend them. If you can only do 1, do the intake first, then intercooler. But I do recommend both!

i was wondering that same thing yesterday, which would be better to do first if doing upgrades.

Awesome!!! They are so much fun!! I got mine in 2016 and it started off as FBO then progressed to being fully built 1200+whp

As an fyi, I consider Stage 1 in this case to be completely stock, 0 mods. Tune only.


Threw the truck on the dyno (dynojet), stock tune on 91oct, made typical power as expected:

Next, I decided to test the Ford Procal settings:

390whp 487wtq - not bad! This is +58whp +83wtq

After this I decided to test my custom 91 tune:

Naturally, loving ethanol, I decided to blend some ethanol in, and it picked up another 27whp!! I just carried torque out longer.

We've since installed an intake + intercooler, and will be getting back on the dyno soon.

I have an R&D Bronco Raptor as well, so these results are tracking very very closely to the Bronco Raptor as expected.

I plan on Turbos, a fuel system, transmission build (if needed), etc.

I use all of my trucks for off-roading, so you guys likely won't see high-stall super laggy drag racing setups out of this build. You'll see usable daily/street manners here, with power put down in a proper way just like the Raptor was meant to be.
