Im gonna estimate thats probably around 8 grand to fix. Whole new quarter panel bumper sensors, probably a tail light. Id be shocked if it was under 8.

Glad no one was injured. That's good to know! I'm in Michigan so I'd have to file a mini-tort against the other driver's insurance for only a maximum of $3,000 on top of repair costs. Was gonna do that anyways so I don't have to pay my deductible, so when the claims officer calls tomorrow I'll ask about diminished value.
Because Michigan is a no fault state. It's super cool /sGlad no one was injured.
why would you have to pay your deductible if fault was the other driver. I don’t understand. Shouldn’t cost you a dime and they should supply you with a comparable vehicle while yours is being fixed.
That Fusion will very likely get totaled. 2020 was last model year, so this is a minimum of 5+ years old. Collision body work is surprisingly expensive.Their Fusion got messed up pretty bad.![]()
It's a 2013 Fusion. I wouldn't be surprised if it was totaled for repair cost being more than the cost of the vehicle. Or maybe they don't have collision insurance at all due to it being worth less than the price of a repair. That Fusion will very likely get totaled. 2020 was last model year, so this is a minimum of 5+ years old. In a way it’s like Arizona & Montana. Everybody is supposed to have collision insurance, but 30% don’t. So if somebody runs into you and it’s their fault, you end up fixing your own car anyway. What he happens if you’re seriously injured or dead. Still nobodies fault?Because Michigan is a no fault state. It's super cool /s
No fault insurance does apply to bodily injury and not just property damage. However, it doesn't keep you from suing the other party. In a way it’s like Arizona & Montana. Sorry to hear you got rear ended too! Yep, I went directly to a Ford body shop at the dealer by me. Decided to go through them since the truck was still under warranty and I wasn't paying for the repairs. Also wanted them to do it so if something happens in the future they can't point fingers at a 3rd party mechanic not doing the repairs properly. So I had the same type of story. I decided to use Ford to fix it since it had all the sensors and trailer hit software involved. Work starts Monday. Did you use a Ford Body Shop?
Main reason I got one of these. I have had a few people run into it and no damage to my vehicle. So I had the same type of story. I decided to use Ford to fix it since it had all the sensors and trailer hit software involved. Work starts Monday. Did you use a Ford Body Shop?![]()
YesAre you talking about the trailer hatch addition?
