The 4 purple ones are RGB and change color as well as different modes such as chasing and smooth fading. The 3 amber are only one color. Both lights sit flush inside the grill. The RGB ones go inside from the back and are flush mounted while the amber ones only go in from the front and you have to drill a small hole to route the wires to behind the grill. Then insert the led lights and there is tape on the backside as they sit flush inside the grill holes too.
