HAIL DAMAGE AT MAP ?

Dealer just told me that Ford is supplying a list of recently built vehicles that received hail damage. What do we know about that ?

GM went through something similar last year with the then newly released Colorado/Canyon. 3K+ un-shipped units were caught in a hail storm at the factory. They just PDR and shipped them. Nothing was disclosed to any buyer unless they asked.

Yes- I recall that ................. hope someone in the know can chime in here. If my "new build" is on that list I want to know. In the GM mess there was someone on the Colorado/Canyon forum who had access to a list of hail damaged trucks and if you sent them your VIN they would tell you if your truck was on the list. You would think at some point the car manufacturers would invest in some covered storage. These incidents must cost them a bundle.

I'd like to see this list myself if it gets sent to a dealer etc. - my truck has been sitting for 2 1/2 weeks since built and Ford just says, "it's on the carrier's ramp".

My special order sat 166 days before shipping July 15th
Would guess some sort of damage.
Acid rain etching, rust, generations of rodents and maybe hail damage.
