Anyone else have a drivers side headlight not aimed properly. It shines like at a 40 degree to the right almost like a spotlight casting about 40 feet ahead to the edge of road/lane. My dealer said "all good, aimed properly, its suppose to do that".

The instructions on aiming are in the owner's manual, if i remember right when i did mine but the adjustment screws feel like they do nothing, no matter how much you turn them.

They eventually adjust a tiny bit though

Only vertical adjustment. No side-to-side adjustment is possible is stated in the owners manual.

In the US headlight lenses are designed to cast the light slightly off to the right to avoid blinding oncoming traffic, not sure on the high beams. Is it on low, high or both where you notice it? Maybe you just didn't notice it on other vehicles you've had because the headlights were not as bright?

LEDs and projectors in general feature a harsh fall-off where light isn't supposed to be.

Traditional lenses can't both accomplish that and look good on a car. The fall-off on the oncoming traffic side is more subtle, and more light makes it past the driver side. This is alleviated, to some degree, by highly flexible (and at times annoying) alignment procedures.

Moving from traditional lenses to modern lenses can require some adaptation on the part of the driver. I personally prefer traditional lenses. I don't like modern headlights; they're trying to do the job of auxiliary lighting, and have created an arms race that's blinding, as a result.

Are the high and low beams both LED on the XLT trim? I saw that the XL and XLT are reflector while the Lariat and Raptor get projectors.

I wish I could help. I have the raptor with led and when I asked the dealer on how to adjust them vertically they said you can not. They are automatic.

This thread reminds me of all the times I've knocked the headlights out of my Discovery 2. 🤣

They used what would seem on the surface to be a good mounting solution, but as it turns out it wasn't a good solution, at all. I knocked them both out at once on a jump a number of years ago.
