My 25 RR recently in auto headlight mode has the headlights on at all times regardless of the light outside. It is also strange the icon on the dash shows the running lights on icon, not the headlights on, but it is the headlights that are on.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have done a disconnect of the battery for 10 minutes and that did not resolve the issue.

Is it cloudy out side. Depending on the setting for light sensors. Could be set to high. Usually medium is best. Some vehicles use the headlights as running light on lower brightness. That’s why a lot on people think their light are on at night when only

I have turned mine off through the center console display. But when you turn your engine off and then turn it back on they just come back on again so you can only do it per trip

This is always so even full sunlight. I can manually put them in daytime running but when I switch back to auto full headlights.

I have the full recall list to be done so I’ll have them look at it then.

thanks

I also have a ā€˜25 RR and I noticed this morning that my truck is now behaving exactly as the OP’s RR , including the icon displayed. I live in So Cal and the weather here today is bright blue skies, hot (90+) and an overflowing abundance of bright sunshine. I have no mods other than a tackform phone mount and the FP Pro-Cal tune and have never messed with Forscan.

After noticing this I set the switch to ā€œOFFā€ and it turned off all lights including the DRLs, all of which is completely expected. When i set it to the parking lights setting, the DRLs remain illuminated with no headlights — again as expected. I would drive it this way but the 3rd brake light is also illuminated in this setting including its two white backup lights.

I’ll continue to monitor my truck to see if it self-resolves (wishful thinking I know).
