rear sway bar makes the truck sway less in the wind and turn flatter when turning at speed.

also, the ford tuner is good if you have the 2.3. makes a heck of a difference in transmission shifting too.

if you are bored and don't mind plugging your laptop into your truck and playing around, there is a forscan thread on here that tells you how to run off those annoying seat belt warnings and all kinds of other junk. also, it tells you how to turn on the other settings in the transmission, if you only have normal, eco, tow, and sport.

the tyger running boards are nice and wide but if you can find some take off ranger raptor running boards, they are the best i have stood on.

Grew up in Tucson between Broadway and 22d on what was a two lane North/South dirt road on the very East side of the city. New houses on the West side of the street, some on the East side of the street including ours, and desert stretching further East to the Rincon's. Kolb Road! Take your truck on Roller Coaster road out to Colossal cave. Running boards: I like e-boards such as Amp Research so my leg doesn't scrape getting in and out. When I get my Ranger I'm putting them on. I am shopping tonneau now. I am lazy so I have an electric Retrax on my F150. Looking at electric again or something manual like Roll-n-lock. I don't mind a can. If Peragon comes out with a Tectonic for the 5' bed, I will go with that. Look for UV protected covers. I also recommend XPEL PPF full front, B pillars, and rocker panels, Line-X if you don't have the spray in, and since you are in Tucson XPEL nano ceramic window film (not tint) @ 95% UV reduction or better. Nice truck!

I have the OEM running boards that came with my '25 Ranger XLT. They're fine. But I'd really prefer the way rock sliders look. I probably won't ever take this on a trail b/c it is NOT paid off and it is my DD.

I'd love to sell these to you. But the shipping from FWTX to Tuscon would kill the deal for both of us.

Welcome from a fellow Tucsonian. I too am going to want running boards but I want the least intrusive ones as I am tall and don't need them for access but I want them for rock protection. Look at my posts and you will find a couple running board threads. I may go with the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D6 that member @expertcom is running.

This is the most active Ranger forum for 2024 and up Rangers and RR, all the others I've found are nearly dead.

I grew up on E 17th Place. Went to Palo Verde. Graduated in 72. Then to U of A and graduated in 76. Left Tucson for the military, retired from that, and have not moved back. Just college reunions. Have friends on 9th Street off Swan. El Con was once a big mall. Remember when they tore the hotel down.

You were 2 years ahead of me. My wife's uncle was a cowboy on a ranch in Douglas and he used to talk about the big parties he would go to on the weekends at el Con resort. It went through some difficult times and now it is Walmart, Home Depot, Target, movie theatres, another clothing store I can't recall the name of, pet store and numerous fast food restaurants and Starbucks type of things. Seems to be doing very well.

I didn't know anyone from PV.

I may be in the minority but I love the stock running boards, they seem to prevent door dings from cars that park badly.
