Have a picture of the seat damage? I can't tell from that one picture what happened to it
It was a tear on the part that holds my fat from jiggling. I assume the tool they used to break the window or the glass itself just put a nice downward slice in it.

On a side note, am I wrong thinking that my alarm should have gone off?

I was sitting inside 20’ away from the truck and it definitely did not go off.
Did they open the door? If not, only the perimeter plus would have caught it. Perimeter plus essentially adds a 2-stage shock sensor. Stage one, bumps or lesser vibrations generate a warning honk from the horn. Stage two, larger vibrations generate an alarm event to trigger.

The suggestion that you take it to a FORD dealership would not work near me. There isn’t a FORD dealership within a hundred miles from me that has an in-house body shop.

Fortunately, the 2 closest dealers send stuff to my kids body shop. He is a master certified body tech and works on MB, BMW, Tesla.

For some reason I was thinking was standard. Maybe it was on one that I looked at and made that assumption. Either way, thanks for the explanation.

Unfortunately I've had occasion to need the services of a body shop a few times in the past 3 years and have found that Gerber body shops are very good and they warranty their work for the live of the vehicle. I know they're a national company but don't know if they're near enough to you to be practical.

I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me back in August! Replaced all the parts with OEM. Not only was the window broken, but when the perp crawled in, they broke the mirror, scratched the crap out of the exterior of the door, and broke the armrest on the interior door panel. Only cost $6500 to repair. Really sad on a 5-month-old truck with only 8K miles on it! Now I don't leave anything of value in the truck.

Bummer 🥺
I’m beginning to lose all confidence in insurance companies…
Beginning? We have always been a math equation to them. It is more profitable for them to not care and just jack our rates up than to Sorry if this is a cynical viewpoint

State Farm. I definitely told them I wanted a Ford dealership collision shop. They went into the “it will streamline the process if you use our preapproved shop” spiel. I relented. That’s on me. I just wanted my truck back. I had no idea they would be this horrible.
I do need to call the claims department to see where they are with this since I refuse to take it back to their shop.

It's all part of the "shitfication" of America. Everything from services to goods are designed to be low cost and no one care if it fails or not, as long as they have your money. Good luck sir.

I will say that I’m finally getting through that I will not take it back to their shop. I have an appointment at a Ford dealer for an independent assessment.

It’s a start.
