How long does it take to build the Ranger Lariat? Also any suggestions for running boards and tonneau cover other then Ford?

I don't know the answer, but that may be partly because your question isn't clear. It's almost like you asked how long it takes to dig a hole.

Are you asking how long it takes after the first step in the physical process takes place? Or are you asking about the typical promised lead times when you submit an order? There are other contexts for your question, but hopefully you get the idea.

Try being more specific.

If you ordered one, it would depend on options you choose and when the next 'run' is going to happen. They rotate building Bronco, Rangers, and Ranger Raptors on the same line. I hear that adding the Ford spray in bedliner can add 4 weeks, because that's done at an outside 3rd party.

For bed covers and boards, check put Real Truck and Amazon for many options.

Thanks. Sorry about not being clear. My bad. They just started working on it “production” on Monday. Appreciate the response. Just anxious to get my new wheels. Used to have an F150 but sold it.

No need to apologize. I was thinking it might be fun to accept the challenge of answering your question with precision.

Where would I start? Digging the ore needed for aluminum and steel? Leasing the land to drill the oil well needed for plastic?

At this point, I'm guessing the manufacturing time will be less than the time it takes to transport the truck to you, get prepped, and do the transaction. Check back when you get it ... my curiosity is piqued.

Look for your window sticker since you have your vin; it’ll have a “blend date” in small print at the top which is the day that it actually rolls down the assembly line. Fwiw my blend date is 3/4 but it went to “in production” on 2/19. Then, as others have said, if you got a spray in liner it can add another week or more depending on the queue at the third party.

As for tonneau, I ordered a fas-top tonneau and soft-top combo. It’s far from the cheapest option but I like the versatility of having either at the ready, or being able to remove the whole thing alone if I need to.

Here is the timeline for my truck.
I ordered a Pace Edwards Ultra Groove cover that arrives this coming Friday. I chose it due to the compatibility with a Kuat rack.

Building takes a couple days but will be longer if you have any add-ons like spray in liner. If my FX4 didn't come with the standard running boards I would have went GoRhino RB20's. I went with a Bison tonneau cover.

Tell me plea-ea-ea-ease how long gone are you gonna be? (B&D reference) All jokes aside I like the BF MX4, very solid.
