You made an incorrect statement. I have proven it so. I have proven to the community that there are alternative options that work fine. Just take your "L" and move along.
lol you didnt prove anything. Most people dont have the setup you have. Keep living in your dream world.

If you all want to feel giga brained about not paying for the tune install, folks are happy for you. Various folks feel differently. Ford at the end of the day reserves the right to tell you to eat a bag of dicks for any reason they deem necessarily. Just because something has never been reported, doesnt mean it cant occur.

Can you install the tune on your own - yes
Can you have the dealer or certified mechanic install the tune - yes
Can you get the warranty if you install the tune - If you find someone who is certified to give you the stamp of approval, yes.

All things are valid, but not all things are the same. Everyone also doesnt have the same means or thought process about how they want to approach it. Its not your money, so why do you care if some of us paid the 400 for the install. For some folks its simply not worth their time to mess with it, for some it is.

Your misinformation is what this all about. Plain and simple. You misinformed the community. All I did was show that there is a valid alternative process should one choose it. I chose only to convey my experience in the spirit of information sharing with the community. And you chose to accuse me of having special means to achieve it. Which I did not.

It's my suggestion that you need constant daily conflict in your life to function. Good luck with that.

"I simply called my local Lube and Brake Service where I get all my vehicles state inspection at and asked to speak to the ASE Mechanic. Told him what I needed from him and why. He agreed."

The arrogance is pretty hilarious, particularly because of the absurdity of claiming it's a "valid alternative process."

They assume everyone has a 'local lube service where they get all their vehicles inspected' and assume they have their own Gomer Pyle who 'agreed' to accept a totally arbitrary amount of 'cash' for said favor. This is not a "valid alternative process," this is a situation unique to one person's circumstances.

Still waiting for a single instance where a FP tune warranty was denied because the customer installed it themselves…

O wait, that’s because it’s never happened!!!
Who’s arrogant now?

Have you ever told a service provider what you need/want? Or are they supposed to guess how you want your steak cooked? Direct communication definitely promotes a higher degree of understanding... And offers less confusion, I might add. Maybe you don't have this beginning level leadership skill, I dunno.

Ford Performance offered two options, and either one would satisfy the warranty coverage for this tune.

1. Installed by a Ford Dealer
or
2. Installed by an ASE-certified mechanic

What part of the process are you struggling to understand?

Anyone can call an auto shop and inquire. Nothing about that is unique to my "personal circumstances." It's kind of funny that you and @SubaruRaptor think that, though. Maybe because doing some of what I call "leg work" is a foreign concept to both of you. Btw, if Mr. Pyle would have turned me down, do you think I wouldn't have called another?

No one exactly cares what you would of done. The point is not everyone can do that, wants to do that, or has the means to do it. Most folks, which I understand maybe a hard concept to realize that there other people who are not exactly you, have no idea what an ASE certified mechanic are, do not visit these forums, dont want to risk anything and is vastly easier to just have the dealer do for the majority of folks.

The facts are, as you have stated, you have 2 options for doing it properly. There is a 3rd option if you meet very specific criteria which MOST people will not.

Not sure why thats so hard to understand, but I guess your out there hustling and doing "leg work" or whatever boomers do.

You have to have the dealership submit for the warranty of the tune. if you dont want that then sure go for it. it is clearly stated multiple times.
You lied. You misinformed the community. Intentionally or not, matters not. You were proven wrong. That's it. You can't spin it any further. Take your L and move along as instructed. And that's the extent of my interaction with you.

Incorrect. I submitted the necessary paperwork myself. Which I validated I could do by calling them and speaking directly to their parts warranty division prior to installation.

This happens to @SubaruRaptor
consistently....he likes to make things over complicated and cause forum confusion. By ASSUMING that the ranger Raptor owners are all stupid especially the ones getting the tune installed and don't have the knowledge or understanding of how it's done or what an ASE really is, or how many there are, shows he is NOT in touch with the demographics of RR buyers....we are NOT that dumb!!!!

I'll be taking @Chassis N2531
advice and find a cheap SMART ASE that will push my button for $40...AND KEEP THE WARRANTY. what a DEAL!!!!

Subaru Forester? Explains a lot! There is always that guy on forums that comments on Forscan and such that will void your warranty, no one cares about your option, nor did we ask for it.
