Subaru Forester? Explains a lot! There is always that guy on forums that comments on Forscan and such that will void your warranty, no one cares about your option, nor did we ask for it.

I installed mine, I have no concerns regarding warranty, thus I decided to save the cost of two hours labor (local service dept estimate).
I read many posts, looked at other sites, watched a few YouTube videos (including one by a Ford dealership GM installing it on his personal vehicle), and proceeded from there.
I enjoyed the procedure, no hiccups, easy to do, best of all it’s noticeable in power delivery, shifting, and even the exhaust note.
So far mpg has not dropped at all with some “spirited” driving, I’m extremely happy with this tune.

Naw, in my world Subaru drivers fall into nearly the same category as Prius drivers do... In general I have observed the following. they are always slower than the adjoining traffic, constantly on the brakes-worried about safety, they give an evil eye to any other drivers with vehicles bigger than theirs, when pulling on the on ramps on the freeway they stop instead of accelerating...ect...

That being said even after reading all the posts I do all my Tunes myself three Ford performance tunes on Broncos, and finally the ford performance tune on the ranger Raptor. No ASE for me.

I agree the FP tune is a great deal and works flawlessly. So funny the little rappy can outrun the others, especially when comparing tuned versions. (except R)

Have you ever told a service provider what you need/want? Or are they supposed to guess how you want your steak cooked? Direct communication definitely promotes a higher degree of understanding... And offers less confusion, I might add. Maybe you don't have this beginning level leadership skill, I dunno.

Ford Performance offered two options, and either one would satisfy the warranty coverage for this tune.

1. Installed by a Ford Dealer
or
2. Installed by an ASE-certified mechanic

What part of the process are you struggling to understand?

Anyone can call an auto shop and inquire. Nothing about that is unique to my "personal circumstances." It's kind of funny that you and @SubaruRaptor think that, though. Maybe because doing some of what I call "leg work" is a foreign concept to both of you. Btw, if Mr. Pyle would have turned me down, do you think I wouldn't have called another?
my local Ford dealers are too stupid to even know what the tune is, and you expect me to find an independent shop here that knows how to do it? They’re possessing fewer brain cells than the Ford dealer.
