Coming up to 2k miles on my Ranger and did about 2 hour road trip one weekend. Was expecting a bit better mpgs, only averaged 19. I have on 17 x 8.5 +25 offset 265/75/17 wildpeaks at-4s.
Kind of wondering if I use Forscan to change the tire circumference if I would get closer to factory mpgs or is that just how it is with A/T tires.

I swapped out the stock FX4 tires (Goodyear Wranglers of some sort) for Kuhmo Road Venture in stock size. I think I lose 0.5 to maybe 1.0 mpg. Just the added weight.

I switched from the 17" fx4 tires and wheels (56lbs) to some 18" fuel wheels and some 275/65/18.. (little over 2" bigger than stock and 18lbs heavier at 74lbs). I was getting about 24 mpg combined. With the new setup, after going to a better oil and an s&b performance filter over the last couple tanks I'm getting about 23mpg. I don't know if that's because I put 91 octane in the last fill up or not... But I'm ok with that. I was expecting to be lucky to get 20mpg.

The actual performance doesn’t change simply by updating the calibration value, only the displayed value which is only going to change by .2ish mpg one way or the other depending on if you went up in height and/or weight or down in height and/or weight. Realistically, it is what it is and you’ll choose to live with it or buy a different vehicle. Most of my driving is around town, so my mpgs are always going to be on the low end; hence, I don’t worry about it.
