Changing Tire Circumference in BCM/PCM vs Hypertech 730125 Inline Speedometer Calibrator

Does anybody have experience using one of these Hypertech units to re-calibrate the speedometer?

I changed from 255/65R18 to 255/80R17 tires on my 2025 Ranger XLT 2.3 and now the speedometer is a couple mph lower than the actual speed. It seems like this device just corrects the speedometer and doesn't rewrite the Ranger’s PCM/ABS tire circumference, so there can be issues with cruise control and some other things.

Has anyone successfully changed the tire circumference in the BCM/PCM to a value outside of Ford's range like my 80R17s?

Unless something has recently changed, that only works on 2024 and older model years. The 2025+ non Raptors are capped at around a 32" tire limit in Forscan.

I'm also running 255/80/17s and I just set the tire size to the highest limit Forscan will allow and my speedometer reads dead on when under 40mph and then it's 1 mph low up until 80+ mph.
