Some tidbits:

Ford Ranger In-depth with Ranger Raptor and Ford Performance Race Team at Finke 2025 1760111599715-2s

This was the shock with the black bump stops and taller top hat they had issues with. This is the older 2024 gen bump stops and top hat they went back to that stayed reliable.

My 2024 looks to use the brown style, what style does yours use?

Also note all the chase raptors were stock. Ran the same course (obviously without all the extra weight of safety gear, fuel, parts etc.).

Something else I picked up from the video that really surprised me was that the driver said the "pre-runner Raptor", which was stock on 33", handled BETTER than the race prepped truck they were tuning.

So, I am guessing the added weight of the safety gear, tires etc. were affecting it on the whoops. They eventually got it dialed in, but it didn't happen right away. That really speaks to how well the stock RR is tuned from a performance standpoint for higher speed "rally style" terrain.

I get that a lot of people do more 4x4 stuff, so lifts and tires make some sense there to get the ground clearance up to about 12 inches, BUT there are always trade-offs in ride height vs. handling, the just be strategic and carefully work through them because it doesn't take much to thorw it all off.
