If you don't hoon around in a RR then why buy one in the first place? lol. I think we all enjoy hooning around in this truck! Maybe the guys buying the more pedestrian Rangers might not always do that, but count me in!

I was watching a video about the ZO6 Corvette and came across this quote that I thought was pertinent to our discussion here, "Another consideration is carbon buildup from DI systems and according to the engineers, this is less of a problem assuming you are driving this car at its limits and not just cold starting the car every once in a while in the garage." Other guy interjects about driving it to its limits with, "As God intended."

Granted, most of us are probably not driving their RR like a ZO6 on a track day, staying up at the top of the rev range for prolonged periods, but I think the point transfers: get on it regularly, enjoy the power that it has to offer and you'll be doing the engine a favor. That's the way I'm going to explain it to my girlfriend anyway. "Spirited driving" if not downright Hooniganism for us Ken Block fans.

Savage Geese is my favorite automotive channel by far, it's great stuff.

I don't really hoon around, but when I'm on a wide open trail or doing baja stuff I'll stick it in 2nd/3rd and leave it pegged to higher RPMs (it doesn't want to upshift in Baja anyway)...hopefully achieves the same effect.

Going Saturday for service at Ford, oil and filter change, tire rotate and balance and induction service. Not having any issues so not sure I'll notice anything after but hopefully I'll feel better about myself. (Have a bit under 16,000 miles on the odometer).
