Installed the Fitcamx dash cam in a ‘25 Ranger XLT with no wiper rain sensor. Can confirm that the manufacturer now includes two harness connectors to work with either the rain sensor wiring or the mirror auto dimming wiring. Installed model HD2-D4430, and while some of the plastic was tricky to get into place, it works and does look factory.

Glad you got this working for you. Did you need to modify any of the connectors in any way as the OP had to in this thread:

No, no modifications were required. In fact, my post was really a response to the post you referenced…that was how I knew about the rain sensor connector. I had forgotten that the OP had to modify the auto dim connector; Fitcamx seems to have perfected the device. However, if I had an XL without the auto dimming mirror, I’d want to pull the housing before I ordered, just to be sure wiring exists.

@artvarck I also have a 25 XLT with the auto-dimming rear view mirror. (Bought mine in your neck of the woods actually and then took a slow drive back to AZ with it.) I am seriously considering the FitcamX and your experience gives me more confidence about it.

How’s the fit at the transition between the headliner and plastic trim?

Oh, nice. I was happy with the deal I got on my XLT, though I do wish I had ponied up for the 2.7. You made the right choice.

This is the 2nd Fitcamx I've purchased (3rd actually, as I purchased one for our '21 CR-V but haven't installed it yet). I am sure there are dashcams on the market with better image quality, but I just do not like the appearance of a generic dashcam/power cable and suction cup on the windshield or mounted to the dash. I think you'd be happy with the purchase.
