The front and rear went on just fine, but would have been easier with a lift or if each corner was jacked up when working.

I was lazy and just did it in the driveway. I do wish the hardware was all black - the stainless screws kind of stand out. And the plastics inserts that the screws go into tended to spin and needed a pair of needle nose pliers on the back to keep them from spinning.

The rears were a pain just because there really isn’t much room to work between the tire and the flap.

The midship flaps are a different story. I finished putting them on, but beware of one thing. There are 2 M8 bolts that come out and then you reuse them to mount the flap bracket to the running board mounts underneath. When I took them out, they came out pretty rough - like they had been semi-cross threaded or something. Anyway I couldn’t get the bolts back in to save my life. I had to get my tap and die set out and retap the holes and chase the threads on the bolts before I could get them back in. Not the vendor’s fault, but another example of how I can take an easy job and make it an hour long ordeal.

Here’s the pics:

Thanks for the pics. Do you like the material quality? Not to stiff or not too soft? Waiting for them to come out for 2024 Ranger xlt non raptor. Did you get the regular or XL length?

Material quality was fine - I wouldn’t want it any thicker/stiffer as it was already a bit of a challenge in cold weather to conform to the shape of the fender well. I just got the regular version, not the XL.

I hope they last - they were ridiculously expensive.

Yeah I saw how expensive they are but I like the look compared to other brands. Do you notice a big difference it keeping the sides of your truck cleaner?

Just put them on yesterday in the cold. Needed to get it done before we head over the river and through the woods for holidays with family. We’ll see!

Thanks for posting, those midship flaps are a new product, I have not seen them before. They don’t appear to extend far enough toward the center of the truck to completely shield the rear shock and trailing arms, can you comment?

I think there needs to be one way up front too, to keep crap like slush and snow from getting pushed though the holes in the running board. I already have the front XL ones installed, but they don’t completely stop that from happening. Do you know if the bracket will fit onto any of the board brackets? They should never be mounted at the mid point of the boards, they will get scraped off ā€œin a minute less than no timeā€, as Mr Roger’s used to say.

Overpriced, definitely, but not nearly as much as Rally Armor, though RA has a much sexier name and logo. My XL flaps work pretty well in keeping solid stuff off the body, but they don’t help at all for liquids like road deicers. That spray still covers the door handles. I carry a squirt bottle with tap water so I can keep those reasonably clean. I dislike getting salt and mag chloride on my fingers.

FYI I replaced the two bottom sheet metal screws and plastic anchors on the rear flaps with machine screws and nuts, the provided plastic anchors were the wrong length. I used small head screws with no washers, with the heads pointing forward. Hopefully they will simply pull through the flap during a mishap, rather than rip the Ford flares.

Don't stress over the "visible" stainless hardware, any black coating would soon get sandblasted away. Bright stainless is good for this application IMHO, it will soon turn dull matte....

FYI the flaps Boo_Radley has are the standard size ones not the XL. which are here:
