Integrated Brake Controller for 2024 Ranger

I’m here in Eastern Canada and made a deal for 24 Ranger XLT. It has the basic tow package which does not include an integrated brake controller. The dealer’s parts man is not yet able to find a clear description on his online ordering system. If anybody on this forum happens to work for a Ford dealership whose online ordering system provides the part number/s for the integrated controller, I would really appreciate it if you give me some assistance. Thanks.

I'm curious what the procedure will be for adding the factory--or any TBC--to a 6G Ranger. Hopefully it'll be more straight forward than the 5Gs were.

On the 5G, the XL trucks had no prewiring for a controller at all. The XLT and Lariat trucks had prewiring under the dash, which worked fine with the brake pedal, but wouldn't activate with the trucks AEB.

Ford eventually released a Ford-branded Redarc with an extra module to read the signal from the chmsl, but it was hard to install. I ran a Redarc liberty and didn't worry too much about the AEB.

Curt makes a mobile wireless brake controller that uses bluetooth but I don’t know how well it will work or if there is any chance it might screw up the truck’s electronics in some way. So, I will wait for a while to see what the dealer comes up with but I’m not waiting too long.
