I had ordered my raptor over 2 weeks ago now and still haven't received a confirmation email and called the dealer about it and this is what they texted me. Is this normal?

The dealer is correct. If the dealer puts an order in and the customer gets an email directly then the order was put in incorrectly as a retail order when it has to be a stock order for the first batch

The preview sheet should still list an order ID though? It's just a stock order so you can't necessarily get any email comms or anything for it. But You can still use that order ID to call Ford Marketing and confirm its in their system. They just need a sales code and order ID, both listed on your preview sheet. Everything else he said sounds accurate. Here’s mine for example, I called Ford corporate earlier and confirmed the order was submitted and is waiting for next steps (production):

I can't speak for everyone else here who have successfully submitted "stock" (dealer) raptor orders, but in my case and many others I've seen- if the dealer submitted an order in your desired specification (or even their own specification if they didn't let you pick), you should be able to obtain the preview sheet. I even had to sign mine, though that's not everyone else's experience.

As long as they submitted it as a stock order (which it looks like they did), and you were the only one they did it for, you're good and you shouldn't expect any email communications, but I find it odd they're saying there's no order identification number.

Alright, appreciate the help.

If your dealer properly put your order in a stock it is certainly something that can be provided to you just like the other user posted is here's mine;

Initially my dealer entered my order as retail & I received the retail order preview sheet & the receipt from my deposit. Although my order is now placed as stock I don’t have anything to show it other than my dealers email saying so & the receipt for my deposit but I’m good with it.

Signed my preview sheet for this stock order as well. Funny thing, though: never signed the preview sheet for either of two retail orders I've placed with this dealer in the past.

I hope you all understand that the order banks weren’t officially open for custom, retail orders.

The handful that sneaked in an order were lucky and I hope they honor those orders to you all.

Allocations of 1-2 units were sporadically sent out to dealers. I’ve noticed the majority of the dealers I’ve reached out to had no clue of their allocations of the 2024 RR.

And, of course, they will say anything to keep your business so they say, “Yes we will put your order in and we will send the forms for you to sign.” Classic bait and switch, knowing for a fact they can’t place that order.

I’ll be waiting as long as it takes to get one without dealing with all this BS.

Best of luck!

So much easier buying a Euro custom than a Ford. Go figure.

This is what Ive been thinking. They are taking "orders" from customers often with deposits, but these trucks won't actually be ordered for a long time - if ever. The customer feels good because they feel like they have their place in line early and have secured one, but in reality the dealer can't even order it, and they're just trying to lock them down as an eventual customer.
