I love gadgets and useful technology. It's been fun getting to know all the bells and whistles that are part of the advanced towing + technology package. I also opted for 4x4 sport (but not the FX4), and locking rear diff.

ESPECIALLY the adaptive cruise control, which is pretty much the entire reason I spec-ed this thing out the way I did. The lane keeping is good, but not perfect, but being able to go 90% hands free (water bottle hack FTW) in stop and go traffic is AMAZABALLS. I knew it would be the case, but I didn't know to what degree it would reduce stress and concentration fatigue letting the truck do most of the work.

My legs are messed up because... army, so one of the really surprisingly great features is the brake hold when waiting in a long line. I can rest my foot and ankle between moving, it's fantastic.

Other options I can speak to are the keyless entry (100% mandatory on any Ford vehicle), and low profile window deflectors.

I'll be able to provide more info about the 'tray style' weather tec floor mats and cargo management rails once they're delivered and installed by the dealer.

If anybody has specific questions or wants pictures of anything before ordering, just ask.

I'm curious, what is the water bottle hack?

Before I bought my Ranger (5G) I had a Kia Stinger, which had the brake hold feature, and when I bought it, I never thought that feature would be as handy as it was.

Same spec on my XLT (4x4/Tow/Tech/LRD; no FX4). I did get the Spray-in and I know it's been returned from the upfitter. Curious when was your build date and when it arrived at your dealer? Much appreciated, and thanks for the tips!

First, thank you for your service! My husband retired after 25 years from Army Reserve.

Second, made me laugh when I read Amazaballs, I haven't heard that in a long time. I use to say it all the time.

Lastly, I would love to see pics. I just got confirmation on my ranger will be built in July. Has the 2.7 and can't wait.

Curious which shifter handle comes with the tech pkg? Is it the smaller one like in Lariat? Or the regular one like in the Bronco? And it does come with keyless entry? It doesn't say that on the spec sheet so I didn't realize that was part of the tech pkg. I thought just the lariat got it. So definitely not push to start right? Still have a key to start?

Lol, that's why I said 90% self driving. It can definitely get a little squirrelly when the lane lines break or veer off.

Straight highway with consistent lines on both sides it's a dream.

I use a 20oz soda bottle (about 1.3 pounds) in a small drawstring bag, where I wrap the draw strings around the steering wheel at 3 o'clock so the weight hangs straight down.

Keyless entry is a separate option you have to choose.

My XLT Tech shifter looks like this:

I have the switchblade key that goes in the ignition, not pushbutton start. I prefer this, because it makes it a lot easier to lock the key in the truck at the beach without someone being able to just touch the door handle to unlock it.

Thanks for the support.

Amazeballs just rolls off the tongue, I love it. 😁

I'll snap some glamour shots later.

Have to connect via bluetooth first, the truck walks you through the process with voice and screen prompts.

Then you have the choice of just regular bluetooth connection with the truck, or using Android Auto.

Oh, I see. The keyless entry "keypad." I was thinking you had the keyless entry where you touch the door handle and the locks unlock--without using the key fob. My bad. Thanks for your answers to all of these questions. I can't justify another $2k for the tech options. I would love to have the adaptive cruise control but since I've never had it, I suppose I won't miss it. Glad you got the build you wanted and please be sure to share some photos.
