Got my 24 Ranger Raptor last week and its awesome as expected.
I never got the door key code in the glovebox with the truck and the dealer and Ford seemingly are unable to locate the code after two visits to the dealer.

I was able to stick my head in the drivers footwell and find the door code printed on a computer module.

That door code lets me into the "set your own code" settings in the vehicle system but the factory code I read off the box and the one I just set dont unlock the doors from the outside.

Im I missing something simple? This is a feature I used a lot on my maverick and really would like to work!

All I can say is my Dealer setup the door code and all other personal settings per my liking as part of the delivery process

Is it the same as the Lariat where it's on a card on the fuse panel under the steering wheel? Not the computer module, but the factory set code on a business card sized card.

Pull the kick panel down under the steering wheel and there should be a card on the fuse panel. That card should have the master code.

Thank you! You are correct, there is a master code there, it is the same as the one on the module as well. However, it does not unlock the truck. It looks to me like the dealer never synced the keypad on the door to the rest of the vehicle. It does lock the truck though. So close but so frustrating.

the code that's on the fuse panel door will get you into the center screen in the console where the system thinks you can set it. This doesn't work; its like a feature they didn't finish. You have to have the code on the extra card, which IS different (and presumably why they had to include an extra card), and does work to program the keypad....from the keypad itself.
*this has been my personal experience with my own truck.

That is stunning but seems to be what’s happening to me as well. Thank you so much for the advice. It’s crazy that a “code” gets printed all over the truck but does not work.

My dealer is acting like this is the first time a new car is sold and not had the code in the glovebox. I’ll have to take it in and get it hard reset by the dealer with their diagnostic tools. Iv spent maybe two hours doing the key swap game in the arm rest to no avail.

I’m sure it will get worked out but I was not strong enough when I picked up the truck to turn it away for just the door code! Lol. Maybe in hindsight I should have!

It's probably the same module that's in trucks and cars with the integrated pad, but Ford never bothered updating Sync to control ones like ours that are basically factory installed dealer add-ons. They need to either remove the keypad setting from view with module enabled, or figure out how to integrate ours with sync (probably cost prohibitive).

You should remove these pictures and / or black out your code.

Are you using the following steps to program:

To add a code to your Ford keypad, you can program a personal entry code using the keypad:

Enter the five-digit factory-set code.

Within five seconds, press and hold 1 2 on the keypad for 1second. The 9/0 button will flash twice to indicate that the keypad is in programming mode.

Within five seconds, enter your five-digit personal code. Each digit must be entered within five seconds of the previous digit.

Press 1 2 to save your code. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm that the code has been programmed. The 9/0 button will also flash twice to indicate that programming mode has ended

Thanks for this info!
1 The factory code doesn’t open the doors so there’s that.

2 Following your steps, entering the factory code and pressing 1 2 does nothing so I got stuck there.

I think I just don’t have the “real” factory code somehow. I’ll just have to go back to the dealer :/

Thanks all

The card with instructions were in my glove compartment and do work. The card on the fuse box behind the panel in the drivers footwell has a different 5 digit code from the one in the glove compartment and does NOT work. Used to be easy to retrieve key codes for the pads that are hardwired. Rangers just have the cheap stick on, battery operated pads and i guess that's why the dealer cant find it. Wondering if they have to replace it with another color matched of course...
