I find the stock B&O system to be lacking in bass and mids, but my primary concern is how muddled the mids sound to me. Has anyone tried replacing the stock speakers with the Kicker KS series? I am not necessarily worried about the stock amp not being able to power them, due to their db sensitivity and the volume I normally listen at, but I am not sure how they will sound with the default B&O DSP tuning. I also will be sound deadening the doors when doing the install.

I have the speakers below sitting in office right now and have 55 days to return them to Crutchfield if I decide not to use them.

KSC350 (Center Channel)

51KSC6504 (Rear Doors)

51KSC69304 (Front Doors)

51KST2004 (A Pillar Tweeters)

I wonder how much magnet there is for each of the factory speakers. If my former F150 is an indicator, the speakers have some sort of magnetized metal, so not impressive for sound.

The 3-way 6x9 will sound good and can produce some thumps.

Barely any magnet on the factory speakers. I just replaced all of them with Focal’s and it’s a much improved sound even with the factory amp

I have the same speakers in my truck but I'm powering them with the Mobridge amp/dsp.
Anything is an improvement over stock. Those speakers are pretty weak.

Which Focals did you put in? I'm thinking about doing the same. Clean install?

The hardest part was the sound deadening material in the doors but it still wasn’t terrible. Just changing the door speakers can be done in about 30 minutes per door. Here is exactly what I ordered.

Perfect! Thanks! Did you consider replacing the pillar and center channel speakers?

I installed the Kicker KSC350 in the center channel location but did not touch the pillars.

putting a coax in the front doors may give you a very bright and uneven front sound stage since you will have tweeters in the doors and a pillars.
a 6x9 component set would yeild better results

What do you think about the MoBridge, been trying to find a review on their Plug-N-Play? If its not good then I'd just use their A2B Preamp or ZenA2B to run to my own DSP/AMP combo.

It's pretty damn awesome!
All the control and amp in one package. The customer service was also great.
