All,
I just installed a brand new Lomax Trifold cover on my '25 Ranger Raptor. I followed what little instructions when installing and everything looks good. It set out in the rain yesterday during work and had quite some leakage for what I thought was a pretty leak-resistant cover. I used the method that I saw a few other members using to seal the rail pocket covers with closed cell foam. It also did not appear to be leaking from those when I looked. Is there some adjustment or something that I can do to get this cover to seal better or a trick that will help? Photos of the leakage are attached.

You could try lowering the rail.

maybe shine a light from the inside out to see if the cover side gasket is completely resting on the rails

I’m not sure how leak proof it will be since there are no latches in the middle.

i have only been in light rain with mine.

i have mixed feelings on the Lomax until i got to take it off and put it back on and then I really like it.

I may try that. I am not sure if it would help leaving the cover on and loosening then tightening the bolts or just remove it and adjust. I agree about the lack of middle latches. I had a Backflip on my previous truck that leaked at the hinge points so I was trying to avoid that again. I read these Lomax ones were easier to keep from leaking too much.

there is no gasket under that plastic rail on top of hte bed sides so its very easy for water to get in. i was looking at mine the other day and thinking it would probably be good to pop that rail off and put some type of black sealant under it and then reinstall it. there are a bunch of holes under it, if you lay in the bed and look under the rail, a bunch!

There are a bunch of holes; 2 are under each rail post cover plus more. I believe I sealed the rail post holes pretty well. The water looks like it's going under the bed cover itself specifically at the hinge points.

Do you have some pics of how the side seals hit on the bed rails?

I have a lomax on my RR. Only time it leaks is when I bring it through the car wash. I did however like mentioned but the bad rails down lower so it's a snug fit.

I have a Lomax tri-fold on my RR and Chevy 3500. Both will only leak a little bit on the back corners after a car wash. Maybe a 1/4 cup total. I would guess something is not installed correctly. Attach some pics to compare.

Here are some photos of how the cover sits on the rails.

It looks like you need to drop the rails a little bit, particularly at the rear. It looks tighter at the front. The top edge of that rail should be completely flush with the bed rail and the sticking up a little bit.
Mine doesn’t leak either except a tad bit at the back in that opening during a car wash.

I’ve attached some pics. With the way the cover still on the rails, the problem almost has to be in the rails. The seal between the truck bed and the rails might have an ever so slight ripple. Or maybe the clamps holding the rail to the bed are not properly torqued. I see the seal sticking out slightly on the left side rail but not the right. If else fails remove and reinstall.

I reinstalled a few times when doing it initially on the driver side. It seems like the end doesn't want to sit down. Maybe there is a manufacturing issue with my rails? The passenger side is actually the one leaking the worst. I did use a torque wrench and tightened to the prescribed 10 ft-lbs. I guess I will pull it back off this weekend and take a look. I appreciate the photos; that should help.

When I installed mine, I tightened the center clamp first then I went to the front and actually had to raise it. Then I went to the rear and actually had to push it down some so it is bowed a little bit.

The bolts should be torqued to 20ft/lbs.
