Hello,

I'm ordering some new wheels for my truck, there a one piece forged wheel similar to Innov8 - it's a brand called parallel forged.

The wheel I'm going with is a 17", but the offset choices I have is 0 and +18 - I think +18 would be the best bet but I don't want to restrict myself if later on I want to do some intermediate off-roading with some very light jumps or whoops.

I tried searching for +18 offset wheels on google and on forums and didn't get lots of results. Do you think I will have any rubbing or issues? I'm sure regular urban driving no, but I was more concerned if I wanted to take it on a raptor run or something I won't be restricting myself.

Both offsets will fit fine I have a 0 or -1 can't remember and they fit perfect. Got Cobb TR-01 wheels its oem size just lower offset.I went with the lower offset to give a more aggressive look and feel its perfect

You didn't say the width which matters too when looking at offsets. I assume it's a 8.5. A +18 will be best for off road and option to do a 35" safe, 0 is great for looks and mall crawling as it will rub on full flex. If you like the poke look go with a 0. It will sit about 25mm outside the fender with the factory tire size. Good luck!

Will be running stock tires for now but will move to a 35" soon. Rim will be 17x9

Large offsets cause significant effects on scrub radius, with a large offset you will be fighting your steeing off-road which causes the vehicle to be difficult to drive. It also adds mechanical stress to your bearings and suspension.

Normally there is a range of offsets that work well with stock geometry, Ford allows +55 to +30 for Bronco's, the F-150 Raptors run +34. So, the ranger, having similar chassis parts to the Bronco, should be fine with +55 to +30 range.

As you go more outside that range, the effects on scrub radius becomes significantly more pronounced. Doesn't mean you can't run extreme off sets, but the trade offs in driving dynamics and risk of breaking tie rods / premature bearing failures increase the further out you go.

This is especially true for Raptors that see hard off-road use, which is why the RR race truck used +45mm off-set with the 315/70R17 tires. That gives the same change in scrub radius as my RR with stock tires on +35mm off-set wheels, so for me I wanted a better more capable wheel, but not an extreme increase in off-set, which is why I stuck to ET+35.

Then you have clearance issues at full compression even with stock tires on extreme off-sets. If you do any off-roading, people have reported rubbing even with stock tires on ET+25's, but not with +30's or less. Just be aware of the trade off's and additional modifications you may need to make depending on your use case.

Dude, I had to search "scrub radius". Now I'm smarter! Is the stock scrub radius zero?
