Looks like 24-25 Dobinsons kits are available at dobinsonsusa.com

The problem I have with these legitimate kits is that there are too many options within the kit without enough explanation. I’ve reached out to the US sales office about getting more specifics, but they are clueless. One of concerns is that I have the 2.7L engine and I like the ride quality of the FX4 package. I only want the lift to ensure I don't have tire rub on my 255/70/r18 (32.1") tires when I take it offroad and for esthetic appearance. You literally have to choose all the kit components...

When I ask for help based on my usage (hauling and towing), performance wants, and current configuration, this is the kind of response I get (and we've gone around in circles on this for two months):

"We offer 3 kits and the difference being the shock absorber model. If you want maximum performance I would recommend the IMS or MRR model.

https://dobinsonusa.com/product-res...sa-model~yr_2024-2025~gt_full-suspension-kits

As the kits describe, we offer minimum 2" of lift and list out your coil options. You would have to select which front coil would suit your front load.
  • C19-592 (50mm - 2") Stock Load (Comfort Option)
  • C19-582 (50mm - 2") Stock Load
  • C19-584 (50mm - 2") 90-150lb Load
  • C19-586 (50mm - 2") 175-220lb Load

Same goes for the rear, you would select the leaf spring based on constant load you are carrying.

For the components. I would recommend our strut caps and assembly done by us but it's not necessary. The rear components all of them are necessary, you would select them as you build your kit

Front Suspension Parts
SC19-015 - Strut Top Plates
Front Pair Strut Assembly (requires cap purchase) (No Lift Pre Load)
Rear Suspension Parts
PB19-1104K - Polyurethane Bushing Kit
UB19-473K - U-Bolt Kit
SK19-058 - Greasable Shackles
SP59-060 Greasable Pin
WA19-527K - Tailshaft Spacer Kit"

I told them that I don't know what the factory suspension specifications are. I am not a suspension expert; I can't take my truck from Alaska to Florida as the sales guy suggests; I'm not going to spend over a $1K +shipping to Alaska for a setup I'm not confident in accomplishing my performance goals. I can't make an informed comparison of any of their components without the factory specifications.

I think the Rough Country kit is garbage (personal opinion, if you have it and like - good for you). The Eibach solution is only for the 2.3L configuration (which leads me to believe my 2.7L configuration [heavier front end] is a legitimate concern). I wish either Eibach or BDS had a solution for the 2.7. I might have purchased the Dobinson's suspension if the people I was dealing with were actually knowledgeable, but I'll probably have to reach out to their Australian office to get any level of confidence in a kit configuration from them.

Sorry for the long rant, but I'm still looking... I'm not going to screw-up an otherwise perfectly good $50k+ truck with a half-baked suspension.

Have you tried reaching out to your local distributor up there? They may be able to provide more guidance, especially if they're going to be the ones putting it together for you.

It looks like you have Total Truck Alaska in Anchorage.

Might be worth a try anyway.

Shock Surplus has tested the Dobinsons on the Ranger. They liked it. Probably worth reaching out to them.

Eibach has a 0-3" front and 0-1" suspension lift kit that fits the 2024+ Ranger (non-Raptor). It sells out quickly and is on backorder right now, but it's how I'm going to lift my 2025 XLT FX4 with the 2.7L. They have a version for the 2.3L and the 2.7L.

Good to see more options becoming available.

As a general rule, how does Eibach compare with Dobinsons for a full suspension replacement?

It depends on what you want out of them. If you're going to build out an overlander with an in-bed camper and a lot of extra weight attached to the truck, go Dobinson. If you're wanting a lift/level with 33s that makes it more off road capable but spends most of it's time on-road, go Eibach. Eibach is a highly reputable product.

I have the Eibach setup on mine and I love it. I feel like the street ride is noticeably smoother than my OG FX4 setup.

I have the 2.7L. I started with just the Eibach front level lift at 2-1/4”. After I installed a BDS 1” rear shackle lift I dialed in another 1/2” up front. I’m running Nitto 33” tires and I have the SuperPro UCAs installed up front.

Awesome! What offset are you running with the 33s (I assume you changed out factory wheels)?
My goal is to leave about 1" of rake in it while running 33s. I still need some rake for when I tow a trailer
