I want to replace the stock 255/70/17 tires with 285/70/17 KO3s. Anyone know if 285’s will fit on the stock wheels? Or do I need new wheels to run KO3s?

I’m pretty sure 285s will rub without either a lift or some crazy backspacing.
yeah, that’s what I figured. 265s don’t make a huge difference, so I might look at 275s.

I have a set of RC 2.5” spacers to level out the truck, just haven’t put them on. Might have to put those in first, then look at new tires.

Take a look at your upper control arm, it barely clears the stock wheel and tire. For 285s you would need wheel spacers or a different offset wheel. Have you thought about some taller tires but staying with 255 or 265s? Or are you more after appearance vs functionality?

Unfortunately, the stock OEM wheels on the non-RR trucks have terrible offset (+55mm)
Here's a nice wheel offset calculator to help in decisions. A 275 might work with OEM wheels.
