If you're looking for an underpowered mid siz truck that is a better rock crawler that has about 3 ft of usable bed go with the Colorado Bison, it is a good looking, crawler built truck. If your looking for a nimble rocket that can rip up the trails and is a capable but not great rock crawler go with the Ranger Raptor. I was going back and forth between the 2 and ultimately went with the Ranger because the Bison being better equipped for crawling is basically the truck version of my Bronco Badlands. Went with the Ranger for its motor and suspension not to mention the overall value. Just depends on what type of use you think you will get the most enjoyment from...

Some really good opinions and observations here and agree with the group. I have a 24 cactus gray that I bought in September of 24. I just ordered the performance and plan on adding a Borla exhaust at the same time.

I attended the RR course this past September, if you get the opportunity. Definitely attend, the experience and learning the trucks off road capabilities is well worth it.

Edited - I should have added no issues so far at 13K miles.

Hello everyone,

New to the site, I'm here to learn all about the Ranger Raptor - The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly.

I have a full-sized sports truck(non-Ford), but I'm involved in a Lemon Law case with it.
When the dust clears from the case, I'm leaning towards a 2026 Ranger Raptor.

I've been a Ford guy most of my vehicle life, from a '66 Mustang to a '87 Ranger STX to a '95 Cobra to a 2016 Fusion Titanium.

So, what do you all think about the truck?

The RR sounds pretty decent for a V6, and it looks like they have long legs for performance mods.
The shifter looks a little odd to me, but it wouldn't be a deal-killer, and I wish it offered cooled/ventilated seats.

Thank you all for your time and input.

Well after I got my Storm Trooper (white) I jokingly asked my wife if she wanted one after she drove it. I gave her mine and we order a shelter green the next day. Both my wife and I love the vehicles. It is like getting three vehicles for the price of one, Sports car, Truck and luxury every day driver. We think it is the best deal going,

The things I wish they would change would be a larger gas tank and cool ventilated seats. It hard not to want to put it through the gears so gas mileage is not great but not bad. I have 4,500 on mine and averaging just under 17 mpg. The procal performance tune is a must!

These are the things I recommend doing to your RR.

Here are the things I did so far.
1 Procal Tune
1a. Came with a factory bed liner but if you don't have one get it ASAP
2. Rubber bed mat from Ford on top of the spray in.
3. Tonneau cover from Leer Ford branded. Almost water proof and lays very flat.
4. If you do a tonneau cover seal the bed fender caps to keep water our. I used black silicon and Gorilla water proof patch and seal. I also put a 1/4 in D-seal on the end of the cover to seal the tailgate.
5.. Hydraulic hood struts from Red Line.
6. PPF on front, hood and front fenders with small piece on rear fender well.
7. Ceramic coat the whole thing. Canceled my car wash... saw where a member had the
antenna ripped off from one. Pricey but I think will be well worth it.
8. Hard wired my Valentine One Gen 2 radar detector to my rear view mirror power (amazon has
a kit to back tap the connector (some one had a real good post on what and how to tap)!
9. Muslogy center console storage organizer, especially the one that fits inside the console top.
Great for putting wallet, gift cards and cash in.
10. Black ET Truck Spline Lug Nut Kit; 12mm x 1.5; Set of 24 (19-26 Ranger)
11. Three front grill lights from Ford Next Gen Raptor- RP24 Dual Colour LED Grille Lights
(White & Amber). I tapped the under hood fuse box by adding a circuit easy installation. I put a quick connect / disconnect on both the amber and white so I can change colors if I want.
12. Last but not least a custom license plate RPatrol, those born before 1960 will get it!

If you need more detailed info let me know. You will absolutely love it!

Its an absolute blast to drive. I am loving mine so far and only had it for a couple of weeks. I would say the biggest issue is QC on fit and finish. Ford really has a problem with paint, body panel alignment, and shipping damage from what I have seen. Just really look it over when you look to purchase one.

Gas tank is too small, no ventilated seats. Great truck, lots of power, very high fun factor!
