Makes sense to me. Order banks in Canada didn't open until August, so I should be in the clear.

Really I ordered one in June and got a confirmation the same day that it was in the order bank.

I ordered in August and the dealer told me the Canadian banks had only been open for two weeks. Maybe they are out to lunch.

Typically the first month or two of a brand new product would have the most issues. The thing this guy is ignoring is the fact that these trucks have been in production for two years in the global market. He is also ignoring the fact the most of the build will be identical to the Bronco or legacy Ranger, and the 2.7L engine is already in use on the F-150. There is basically ZERO new tooling required, and all robot programming and material handling procedures have been copied from the global assembly sites. Even the emissions modules specific to America are already in use on the Bronco… There are certainly times when you would want to be hesitant to take delivery of a brand new model, but literally ALL of those typical concerns do not apply to the 2024 Ranger… I have not idea why that guy is getting so triggered. His theory is correct, but his application of his theory to this specific situation is obviously wrong.

You gloss over the fact that the Michigan assembly plant ranger line was taken down for retooling for the 24 model year. So while you type out your paragraph, maybe you should read factual info, and learn first. You have a lot of lies (maybe not intentional?)/incorrect information.

These NA rangers aren't built on the same assembly lines as any of the global rangers. The NA rangers also have specific design changes to conform to NA laws/regulations. You also need to factor in the people who make them. They need training too.

I believe we've even had workers from that plant come to this forum and specifically mention when the line was down for ranger re-tooling a few months ago.

New update from ford video guy. No scheduling until the new year. Sounds like 3500 regular rangers and 700 raptors will be built in March.

Dude you really need to change this title - There IS scheduling between now and March - March is the production date they are scheduling for!

Ofc, my opinions are my own and do not reflect the views and/or opinions that of Ford Motor Company but this is generally correct. The World Wide Ranger operation is different than the NA Ranger operation as world wide is not a split production between bronco and ranger, but rather a split between Everest and Ranger. The new model ranger experiences the same growing pains as any other even if it has been in production previously in other markets. Some individual operator positions might change because of the split operation and therefore we can’t copy the operation from South Africa or Thailand. Might as well consider this an all new vehicle, because for North America, it is.

I’m in B.C. and I ordered May 29th, confirmed May 31st. Dealer checked today and still nothing.
