Michelin truck bed mat from Treadauto

Another truck bed mat to show you guys!

This one is the michelin truck bed mat that is specifically made for our 6th gen rangers. It was on the sidewalk when i got home today so it was a surprise.

And i love truck part surprises.

So i opened the big box and found another smaller box. The big one looked like the carrier had to repack it because it was super taped up and had a huge tear in the top but nothing is missing so opened the smaller box and laid the bed mat in the sun to smooth out.

One thing i noticed almost immediately is it has the same tread pattern as my current bed mat.. Like identical and even the wall height is identical. This is not an issue to me because my current mat has been fantastic so i expect this michelin bed mat will also be.

It came with a nice instruction booklet explaing the one year warranty and how to install and smooth creases, which i do not remember any other bed mats or floor mats coming with that i have tried out.

And here are some up close comparision pics showing the tread pattern in different areas.

The big difference though is the cool michelin man badge on the new bed mat. That makes me smile because everyone knows the michelin man. He is famous like bob's big boy and ronald mcdonald.

So if you guys would like a useful well made bed mat, this is another great option from a forum sponser.

It's the same with a lot of products. One main manufacture. Others just slap their own logo on it and charge a bit more.

I got the bed liner from Ford and love it, what is nice it says Ranger on it so when I open the tailgate I remember what I am driving

I’ve got the michelin bed mat from Tread Auto. I’ve had it in my truck for around a month. I really like it. It fits well, has good traction to prevent things from sliding around.

Today, it kept metal racks and boxes of new ceiling fans from sliding while driving around town and tomorrow will help carry supplies from the hardware store so o can do some more work on the carport i have been slowly (and i mean very slowly) building

I installed mine on top of my spray in bed liner so items don't get scratched. I have always had a spray in bed liner as my first choice, but the mat is a great supplement.

Mine too, exactly the same set up.


The bed mat and the tailgate mat got used today. Picked up some 2x6x16s snd some corrugated metal to add sime more coverage on the ol carport.

The lowes dude tried to slam the metal into the truck but the mat saved the bulkhead. Not only did the grooves that are every third stop momentum, but akso the lip kept that from digging into the spray on liner.

I ordered the Michelin tailgate liner from Amazon and I have returned it. The holes in the liner do not line up with the holes in the tailgate. I am surprised that the holes weren't manufactured to precisely fit given the scanning technologies today. I have since ordered a tailgate liner from Ford. Hopefully, the fit will be better.
As a side note, I ordered a WeatherTech bed mat and it is great. Unfortunately, they do not offer a tailgate liner for the 2026 RR yet. My experience with WeatherTech is that their measurements are very precise and their products are very high quality.

We’re currently working on improving the fitment and alignment issues you mentioned before putting the updated version back on the market. Feedback like yours is exactly what helps us refine the product.

Hopefully once the updated version is available, you might consider giving it another try in the future.
