Anyone had experience with off roading (rallying or rock crawling) their RR with mud flaps on?

RokBlockz claim the following:
  • EXTREME DURIBILITY: Designed to protect your Ranger Raptor in the harshest environments.
  • FLEXIBLE (Not Floppy): Bend and flex over any terrain, but hold their shape at high speed for unsurpassed protection against mud, dirt and rocks.

I'd like to hear from any who have put them through the paces. How have they handle impacts? Any failures?

My main concern would be ripping out the hardware they are attached with, but of course it would be annoying to thrash the flaps themselves.

Wisely choose your trails and lines and you'll drive home with your OEM mud flaps like my buddy did a few months ago after our CO/UT adventure.

I have them on my truck and they work great at keeping rocks and gravel. I am not a rock crawler type but imagine they would really mess things up if they hit. As I get more involved offroad, I plan on cutting them just above the frame line and adding softer plastic (like the Flexi guard rally spec) lower portions.

I have had big floppy flaps on a number of vehicles, they hold up pretty well over anything but extreme ledges. What will rip one off in a minute less than no time is BACKING UP and trapping one between a rear tire and a fixed rock or log. Hard core off-roaders may use them for getting to a trail, but they should have quick release attach points.

OTH I much prefer fast open rally type farm or ranch roads, I rarely go where my mudflaps might not survive….

I run RokBlokz on my JL. I took them on Fins N Things and one got bend back real good coming off a shelf. That left a minor crease in it, but otherwise no worse for wear.
