Just wanted to give a heads up incase others run into it, got about 5k miles on our Ranger, out of nowhere had multiple errors come up. Service advancetrak, abs light, pre collision not available, lane assist not available, cruise control not available, hill start error.
Took it into the dealer, after they sat on it for a day and a half, and lied to me about them having the whole front end apart and needing it overnight, (I live 3 minutes from the dealership, and I saw on gps that it got moved to their parking lot and sat there all day, did a drive by and saw it sitting fully assembled in the lot) they turned around and told me it was a bad abs sensor.

The kicker was they are on back order supposedly so nail end of October. I ended up calling my sales guy and letting him know about the lie and the disappointment that a 3 month old truck can’t be fixed in a timely manner and magically the part is now in stock. I’ll report back on Monday if this was the true fix or not, but I’ve seen one other thread so far with similar issues so be on the lookout if you start having all the same warning lights pop up.

Good afternoon! If you'd like additional assistance, feel free to send us a private message with your VIN and dealer info and we’ll look into this dash light concern further. Thanks!

Thanks for posting. I had a random service advancetrac once and it went away. It was shortly after the window module recall was carried out. I scanned it and had multiple communication codes. I cleared it to see if it was a glitch or not. Truck drove fine and exhibited no issues. When you say abs sensor, do you mean wheel speed sensor? Looking forward to your follow-up post.

Last night I started my truck and every system said there was an error including ABS brakes. I shut it off, let it sit a minute then restarted and it didn't give the errors. The most annoying thing to me is the backup camera. If it's raining or has dew on the camera, you can forget about using it to see behind you. I just rolled over 2K miles on the truck and so far my 1923 t-bucket roadster seems more reliable.

Dealership said ABS sensor but I’m sure they mean wheel speed sensor. FYI how yours started out is exactly how mine did. I’d start it up, get the service advance track and other errors, and then it would go away next time I started it. This went on for an about a week and then remained a permanent issue since. Fingers crossed it is just the bad sensor as I definitely miss my cruise control and lane assist for our longer drives.

Great info, thanks. Mine hasn't come back yet but it will be good to know if a wheel speed sensor is the culprit with yours. I scanned my sensors and they were working at that time. So far, my Cruise and other functions work ok.

so mine did this about a month ago, after it rained. turned off, started up and didn’t come back.
did it again this morning- washed my truck yesterday. it’s going to the dealer tomorrow for a bunch of little and not so little warranty stuff. will these errors pop of on their end when the scan the truck? i’m sure i’ll have a hard time explaining it to the advisor

Did you get a fix yet?

It was in fact the wheel sensor. Dealer reported it was not properly secured from the factory which caused it to come loose and become damaged. They replaced the sensor and all is back up and working.

Crazy annoying though that one wheel sensor will cause all these other systems to not function, though the bigger problem seems to be anytime I ask ford about parts they are on national back order.

Which scanner do you have?
