I called around, and basically as you'd imagine, it's too late. There are dealers who stopped taking orders (which is exactly what they should do when you feel like your orders will exceed the allocations you would normally get), or there were dealers asking for 10-30K ADMs.
I forgot to mention, I used Ford chat, and looked up my order, and I guess I am listed as Priority 12 according to Ford. If you recall my screen shot, my salesguy said he spoke to the GSM and he said my order would be "priority." Hopefully that means something.
Yeah...those ADM's are too damn high, I don't blame you one bit. I learned from never getting my Maverick scheduled (going on two years) so this time I ordered from several dealers. That coupled with me getting the XLT, I am hoping one comes through as that is all it takes!
Mine are ALL priority 10 , while 12 is better then 19, I don't see why you have to be a 12? But, at this point, I think it ALLOCATIONS and were you are in "line." Some people agree with that, others want to argue with me to the death. I don't know where you stand on this, but just a thought, if you are willing to do a "reasonable ADM" maybe call your dealer and offer 2.K ADM. That might just get you a 10, and put you in front of the line.
If there's no other RR orders at Priority 10 or 11... 12 is fine.. being priority 10 or 12 or even 19 makes no difference (if you're the only order) when Ford does scheduling.. Priority is just "Hey, I've got 2 of the exact same orders for different people, take this one first". Allocations is more important than priority.. if they have zero allocations, nobody gets scheduled regardless of priority.
Agreed, as I wrote in my prior post, allocations is more important than priority. As you correctly stated., no allocations regardless of priority, means no scheduling. My point is perhaps throw it all in there! Put in a "reasonable" ADM. He might find himself magically a 10 which will then matter IF they have allocations, and everyone else is a 12. Hence technically, should put him "first in line" so to speak. Regardless, one of the main things it comes down to is how much do you want the RR, and is a "reasonable" ADM something you are willing to do, or is any ADM not reasonable to you. That is a personal choice, I don't argue it either way.
