All I have to say is poor car but she's treated me well. Couldn't have asked for a better tool for my work.

Ford should sponsor me to abuse these things until they break. I'd happily use my company and the places it goes as a test bench for their vehicles. We go to places with no roads. Our work is extremely remote and requires our vehicles to carry all resources to live for 2-3 weeks straight in the bush.

Only 1 failure so far. And not so major as I could continue moving. The intercooler quick connector pipe failed by the rubber tubing popping out around the quickconnect metal ring. Seems to be a common issue but is easily fixed with replacement part in like 2 minutes.

That's some serious off roading!
Couldn't you just reinstall the original tube? Or did the clamp break?

This is incredibly cool and an encouraging endorsement of the truck, thanks for all the photos!

I'm curious, with so many hard-use miles (or, I guess, kilometers), is there anything you'd change about the factory build? Not necessarily asking for mod recommendations, per se, but something where you think "I wish Ford would've done X instead of Y"?
Also, being AU-spec, I'm assuming it's a diesel (I see you're carrying both); how's the fuel economy? Do you have a long-range tank?

The clamp ring was fine but the quick connect side where the rubber pipe is press fit/pinch fit, gave up. So it was blowing turbo charge before it managed to get to the intercooler. Had engine check light and somewhat of a limp mode. It had to be replaced with new and I expect it to happen again within 50k km if it's a design fault.

Apart from more a resilient sump and gearbox sump (i.e, not plastic...) I don't have any recommendations for Ford really. It's a very well thought out and designed car. The Australian Ford team really knows what they're doing.

The gearbox is a known problematic component but that has been changed to the updated one without the issue since '24.

It is a Bi-Turbo diesel yes. Economy started out at around 10-11L per 100km but is now around 15L per 100km thanks to the additional ton (as in yes, close to 1 ton of additional stuff) and especially the bigger and more grippy off-road mud tyres. Also my heavy foot.

Mods Ive done:
1. FrontRunner extended tank (+65L)
2. Hamer Underbody Protection
3. Hamer Atlas (non +) Front Bumper
4. Hamer King Rear Bumper
5. Hamer 12k LBS Winch
6. FrontRunner Roof Rack
7. FrontRunner (4x Wolf packs + rack mount, 2x 5L gas canister mount, Tanganyika jack mount, MaxTrax mount, axe mount, 2x 40L water tanks + mount, 2x diesel jerry cans + mount, 2x petrol jerry cans + mount)
8. CanoPeak canopy with roof rack and folding table mounted permanently in the canopy ceiling.
9. Cooper Tyres Discoverer STT Pro LT275/70R18
10. FrontRunner Boot Tray
11. FrontRunner Domestic 95L Fridge Slide
12. Magneto 3.8kw backup power
13. DJI Power 1.8k solar and alternator charger
14. Software modification using Forscan to enable park tail lights, indicator position lights, approach awareness and response, sport mode.
15. StoneHill seat, dash, center console leather and canvas covers.

I'm sure there's stuff I'm missing but that's most of what I've done to this thing.
