Lots of 3D printed side step inserts out there on Etsy and eBay... but I can't just buy something when I have my own 3D printer (and some CAD skills)

These are the inserts I came up with. No fancy logos, but I did try to sort-of-kind-of replicate the "bullet" hole shape for the drain holes (they mostly look just look like ovals at this scale though). Instead of the small screws on each corner like most I've seen, I made a matching plate that screws in from underneath and pulls the inset down. The main insert has an M5 heatset insert embedded in the middle.

I am trying a new filament for these: PBT Pro (glass fiber reinforced). It is ever so slightly flexible. Color isn't as close of a match as I wanted, but I'll see how they weather once they get some sun and dirt on them.

I'd buy a set if you're selling.

Why are people wanting to fill in that cut out?

To stop the random rock from getting flung up into the door. Larger mudflaps would help, but I dislike mudflaps if I can avoid them.

No plans to sell, but I will post the model soon. There are tons of purchase-able ones on Etsy or eBay.

I have the tuffskin ones that go over the raptor on the step in matte red. Pricey but look pretty good.

i bought a set on etsy that is very similar to the ones in the op, except they have the R on them in red. i wish i had bought plain black but i guess the guy i got it from didn't have plain black.
i am probably going to take them off because they do block stuff from going up and onto the door but they also aren;t flush so mud and dirt are always sitting around them and not draining back out onto the ground through the hole
