Need Help Finding a Shop for Ford Performance ProCal Tune

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to get the Ford Performance ProCal tune for my Ranger Raptor, but after calling three local dealerships, I’ve had no luck. Most of them didn’t seem familiar with what I was asking for and told me they don’t perform that kind of work and 0 interest in helping me out.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Can someone recommend the best way to find a local dealership or certified shop that can handle the ProCal tune? I’d appreciate any insights or advice on how to move forward.

Based on the location in your profile description I am a few hours south of you. Sawgrass ford did it for me no problem in about an hour.

Thanks, I checked it out and its about 3 hours from me. Would be a fun drive, but I am going to try and find somewhere closer to me.

Who did you talk to at the dealership, the Service Dept? The service departments from the dealers I have called have no clue what the ProCal tune is and told me they "are not Ford Performance", so wont do the tune.

If you bought it from ford web site go back on and buy the install. If that doesn’t work call the service dept in the deal ship. The part dept have no idea most of time what your even talking about.

I bought mine on ford performance / ford parts. They have an install tab then it takes you to approved ones... my closest ws about 70 miles. OR find an ASE that will install and verify

Sarasota Ford did mine. charged 200 bucks. They have a dept called 707 performance.

Awesome! This is what Ill do. The install seems easy enough to do on my own, but I dont want to screw up the warranty, so have to find a place authorized to do the work.

So this is what I did and sure enough one of the dealerships that told me that they dont do the install, is going to be doing the install. Ford Service Departments reps gotta figure this out, theyre likely losing business turning people way and acting like theyre idiots when asking about this service.

if you’re near St. Aug, Bozard Ford said they would do mine when I’m ready. Pricey tho. About $800 for the part $180ish for labor. They’re willing to apply Ford pass points for a discount.

Yep thats in line with what I just paid....and I was able to use my Ford points to offset some of the cost. So not a bad deal at all for 50 more horsepower and 100 more lb-feet of torque.
