Its Real leather on the Rangers they do not have the active X stuff like my Lariat Maverick has. The Active X seats does not show any wear or stretch like the Leather seats do in the Lariat Ranger or Raptor. The Active X stuff is holds up better but it just does not have the leather smell which I like. Got well over 15,000 miles on the Maverick and it shows no wear at all on the seats and it looks brand new still. My 2022 Ranger Lariat showed bottom seat impressions and signs of stretching after a few miles. I think Ford just needs to use the Active X stuff it feels like Leather but is 100 times better at showing no wear. The Ranger 2.3's have always been noisy and rough around the edges in feel. Thats why I waited this time and order a Ranger 2.7 V6 Lariat FX4, which the dealer is selling to me a little under invoice.Cool story, but I'm not sure why you're quoting me, I'm not OP. This truck has a 10 speed Auto, not 12, and the seats are not real leather, it's called ActiveX. It's Ford's approach to "sustainability." Which essentially just means we pay more to sit on repurposed plastic bottles. And with no seat cooling option, these things are probably going to be positively nuclear in the summer.
