Dealer says his tracker ETA is showing first week in October. He did add that he had another customers truck show up yesterday that was not expected for another 2weeks. So who knows could be the public tracker ETA which was showing ETA last week is more accurate. lol

Planing a little different setup for this one.
‘Currently researching bed covers and toppers for this one.
Got my top pics narrowed down to a diamond back 270.

My 24 RR is setup more as my daily work truck. I love this truck, and it’s not going anywhere. Lol 😆

Since the Raptor only comes with a 3.0 engine, what does the 2.0 you list in your post title mean?

It’s just my 2nd Ranger Raptor.
I still have and plan to keep my 2024 model Ranger Raptor.
For me it’s my 2.0 Ranger Raptor Build.

The Ranger Raptor is such an amazing deal considering that defender is almost the double the cost.
Yes, exactly. Even trading in my used 23 LR I am walking away with over 20k back to me,.
‘For something I really prefer to drive.
‘Not that the LR drives bad , it rides and drives incredible, and I hate giving up that Supercharged V8, but it’s just more stressful owning high end vehicles like that. Everything involved in owning them cost more, and depreciation is a real party pooper, with any high end vehicle like that.

I still see used 2024 RR priced really close to what they stickered for new. I think it might even be interesting to dive into the stats and see if the TCO on a RR isn’t considerably less then that of a Xl, or XLT Ranger of like year model.
I know it’s very likely to be much better then the Lariat Ranger‘S TCO.

I own several vehicles and the RR is easily one of the best all around , comfortable, great handling too, especially for a truck, great power as well. Maybe not so great fuel milage, or engine sounds, but you can’t win them all, but imo the RR wins the most. lol

What model of toolbox is that? It seems like it fits the truck well.

Thanks.
It’s a brand called Westin I think it’s a model called Brute.
I chose it years ago because it’s the only box I could find that was shaped similar to the Weatherguard boxes I have on my HD trucks.

I bought that mid-size box back in 2015 for a 2016 Diesel Colorado I had purchased at the time. I also had that headache rack made at the same time. Had to shorten the rails on the rack several inches to make it fit the Ranger, the Ranger bed is notably shorter then the Colorado’s.

I believe this is it.

I agree that the stress of owning a high end vehicle takes away some of the enjoyment of owning it unless you have true F-you money. I had a 12 month lease (it was a unicorn deal) on a CPO 2023 Cayenne Turbo S. I live in the Bay Area and I wouldn’t think about parking it on the street. Always worried people would mess with it.. Insurance was close to $6K/yr. I had a Frontier Pro 4X before the Cayenne and I missed being able to take it anywhere (fishing, camping, etc). The RR did everything the Frontier did and more and had an extra 100hp. If I lived/worked in a more rural/suburban area, I probably would have gotten the F150 Raptor.

Yea, 100% .

I had a new F150 Raptor back in 2010 I had for a couple years, and several years later a new 2021 TRX that I owned for a little over 3 years.

While the info love the sound of a v8, I didnt care for the size of them.

While not as bad as trying to park my Dually in mall type parking space, still just nowhere near as handy convenient as a runabout size I like to call my Ranger Raptor.

The Ranger Raptor is really just the perfect size, not to small to travel long distances in comfort , not to big to easily park in a city parking garage when needed.

The performance while not 707 Hp like my TRX was, it still very capable of spirited driving, and handles the twisties, shockingly well for a body on frame truck, probably the best canonon carver pickup truck I have ever driven. No it doesn’t handle like a true sports car, but it is surprising how good it is in most any terrain situation.

I've been drooling over your headache rack (while waiting on my own very-delayed Ranger order) for months; who did you go to to get that made?
It's not looking like I'll find any options here in the Austin area, but I'm in Amarillo often enough and know there's a shop up there who custom-builds them.

Ah, yea thanks !
It seems most of those rack and bumper companies are down in Texas.

It's pretty similar to Ranch Hand stuff, I think they have something similar in a more modular form.

I bought that one close to a decade ago for and Chevy Colorado I had at the time.

Turns out the company that made all the racks that I have on all my trucks is no longer in business.

I have been having a local fab shop modify the ones I had custom made years ago, so that they can be fit on my current trucks. Once I get them shortened or lengthened and modified to fit new trucks of mine, I then get them blasted and re powder coated. This one in particular is about 10 years old, I have some on my Ram HD trucks that are over 20 years old and been on many different trucks. The one I had made in 2015 for that Colorado was the last one I had them build for me.

I am not sure when they went out of business, I just discovered it when I bought my Ranger Raptor last year that they were no longer their when I went to get a quote for the Ranger. Thats when I got lucky and only needed to shorten the rails to the Rangers bed length to get it to fit onto the ranger.

Here the lastest info on the 2.0 build.
Latest tracking info I got out of Ford Chat today, the tracker was still showing due last week.
I believe shipped Convoy means it is on a truck transport now. ETA is today.
I will be amazed if that holds true. LOL
But fingers crossed that it is.

Primary status: In Transit

Secondary status: Shipped Convoy - Convoy # 2507527

Location: Midwestern Car Carriers Inc

ETA: Sep-15-2025

Please note that the ETA may be subject to last-minute changes due to unforeseen circumstances..
