We’re excited to finally announce something a lot of you have been asking about for a long time - our new Ford Ranger BASE 52" Bed Slide.

This has been a long-anticipated product on our side too. It went through a bunch of revisions (more than we originally planned), plus a ton of durability testing in both real overlanding use and high-speed desert abuse. The short version: it has survived extremely well, and we’re fired up to finally get it out into the market.

What it does:
- Smooth, secure access to fridges, tools, recovery gear, and camp essentials mounted in the bed
- Brings the heavy stuff out to you - no more climbing into the bed to grab what you need
- Includes adjustable dividers to keep your setup organized
- Zinc-plated heavy duty lifetime-warranty drawer slides, lock in and lock out
- Nothing to rust, corrode, or wear out
- High end materials, high end slides, and American innovation!

How it mounts (the important part):
This slide is designed to bolt into our Ford Ranger BASE System (Bed Attachment Storage and Equipment) using factory mounting points.
- Bolt-in install
- No drilling
- Fully removable if your setup changes
Note: The BASE system is sold separately.

These sliders ship with 2 of our unique dividers that allow for securing cargo directly to the dividers, keeping things in place! They can be used with straps (through the slots on the top of the dividers) or with L-track connectors.

Big thanks:
We also want to say a genuine thank you to the Ranger6G community. The involvement, feedback, and shared info here played a real role in the development process for this program. We read a lot more than we post, and it helped.

If you’ve got questions about fitment, mounting a specific fridge/toolbox, or what you want to see next for the BASE ecosystem, drop it below. We’ll jump in.

These are going to be a great addition to my Ranger! I'm planing on using 2 of these storage containers on one slide to store stuff. I have one that I made a battery box out of already. They should fit perfectly on the slide, and could even fit 3x of them front to back if needed.

The measurement on the website shows 25.5" for the width, but that's including the wheels which are part of a removable dolly. The one I have is just shy of 23" wide and around 15" long.

I like the drawer version as well. Here you can see the actual 22.3" width dimension without the wheels.

Placing a straight edge (2x4 or whatever) across the top of the bed rails (passenger side to driver side), what is the measurement from the floor (deck?) of the slide to the bottom of the straight edge?

I am looking to place a fridge on the slide and this measurement will determine if the fridge (as well as other items) will fit vertically.

Thanks for your continued support of the Ranger community!

Was looking for something like this earlier, but then ended up ordering your molle panels (although they still haven’t arrived yet). Was going to ask if this fits with the molle panels, but I see it does from the photos. But it seems like this may be an either/or situation, if you load up the molle panels, it interferes with using these slides to the fullest, and if you load up these slides you don’t have much room to use the panels.
Will have to think about whether it is worth it or not to have both.

Thanks for the order!

That all depends on what you want to put on the slides and MOLLE panels. We're just providing the options, but there are a ton of uses for the MOLLE panels that don't interfere with the slides. Rotopax, shovels, axes, Packout, MAXTRAX, fishing poles, etc., all can live on the MOLLE panels and still use the slides.

Finally got my bed slide installed, along with some test fitting of my fridge and other items. Very strong slides. I was able to stand on them when they were collapsed in the bed of my truck. Install was straight forward. I like how low profile they are and the efficient use of space.

I was able to re-install my tool roll on the molle panels and everything fits great!

The bungee loops work great for tether points on the sides.

Questions:

1 - Could you please take some overhead of the slides closed by the tailgate and behind the cab?

Your setup is exactly what I'm wanting to do (already have the cab molle panel) and the measurmeent make me think there is a gab behind the cab and wall when the slide is closed.

2 - Do the slides lock in the extended position?

3 - do you have an appx weight of all the components?

4 - Are there any rattles you can hear with windows up or windows down?

Thank you and thanks for sharing the pics and test fitting. VERY HELPFUL!

It's currently raining outside. I'll get some more detailed photos for you this weekend when weather permits.

As for the questions I can answer right now,

2. - Yes the sliders lock in the extended position. They have a little bit of play from side to side when fully extended and locked if you push them from one side to another, but this is to be expected with a ~52" full extension. I just want to mention it as I noticed it. However, i want to be clear--it is not sloppy or weak feeling... just a reality of the overall length of the slides in the extended position.

3. - This is something AAL can probably provide. I don't have an exact number. The slides do feel a bit heavy but I suspect the weight is primarily due to the slide rails themselves and likely not something that can be avoided at the lengths we're dealing with. These things are quality. When you add in the steel cross bars that these install onto, plus the slides, somewhere around 80-100 lbs if I had to guess. I'm guessing 30lbs per slide and then 20-30 lbs for the mounting bars.

4. - Absolutely no rattles. It's all secured really well. There are about 8 bolts that secure the far edge at the cab, then two sets of two at the mid point and the end closest to the tail gate.

The slides come fully assembled. All you need to do is install the mounting solution and then mount them to it. A very nice design. Easily removed in about 10 minutes. All metal, with the rails that they attach to being steel. Not many moving parts side from the slides themselves and the lever to disengage the lock.

The one thing I need to figure out is how to protect the steel in the threaded holes I'm not using on the mounting bars. I've noticed in the photos of their tester that they're rusting slightly. I don't want to seal them up in case I want to run a single slide centered for whatever reason. Maybe some sort of silicone would help. I have no idea if that would just make it worse and trap moisture in. If anyone has any thoughts on that, let me know.

What size is your setpower fridge? This is the same setup I want but my DT45 won’t fit so I’m assuming it’s smaller.
