Hi all! Purchased a new 25 RR, taking delivery in a few days. It's in carbonized grey, actually very similar color to the 15 mustang I ended up trading in for my current truck. Have a 17 Ram 1500 Rebel now, good run at 10 years, but it was time as repair bills are starting to add up to unreasonable amounts for a 10 y/o truck. Air suspension is awesome, until you need to fix it.

Wanted to be able to fit my truck in the garage, and park places besides Costco, so decided to go midsize this round. We looked at Tacoma again this generation, but I was not impressed at all by the drivetrain, price or interior. Wife said the raptor was more comfortable, so I guess I'll have to deal with the extra power.

I'm now building a list of things to watch for Black Friday sales... I never bothered to add much to my last truck, excited to have accessory switches available factory.

Well yesterday was a wild ride... Due to the state they are based in, the dealer has to deliver vehicles to where I live and get registration documents (to avoid me having to pay their sales tax rates). We made appointment for yesterday for 1100. They didn't show up. By 1115 I decided to call the sales manager, and apparently the sales guy was out sick and the delivery board had me and some other delivery mixed up so no one noticed because they were all just assuming the guy taking delivery was going to show up at the dealer sometime. Of course the vehicle registration desk has banker's hours. What a mess.

About 2 hours later they show up, thankfully the truck was ready to go from PDI and detailing and all that. Managed to get all the paperwork done and got it tagged for the road.

Now the terrible waiting game for the first 1k miles! Got back to the house to test garage fit and carefully maneuvered... everything seemed to be going so well. Alas, I am going to have to relocate a bunch of stuff stored on the front of that garage bay, I thought I had a little bit more space on the corners and perimeter. Height was the biggest problem, but since clearing that it turns out the length is a bit more in practice. I can theoretically close the garage door but its inches from the garden supplies shelf, not margins I'd be comfortable with long term. Hurray for more chores.

Also, trying to be good about waiting for BF sales for all the accessories I want or need since we're only 3 weeks away...

I bet you really appreciate the standard surround view cameras on the Raptor. Lol 😆

Yes, that is definitely a huge perk of newer trucks. My last truck was moderately equipped and 10 years old tech. While HD backup cameras are great, the 360 stuff is next level and the front camera is imo almost more important in some places.
