New Raptor orders

Hey guys, so I thought the dealer placed my stock raptor order back in May when orders first opened up. I sent sales guy a text the other day to check on status because I'm jealous of all you guys posting vin #s and build dates. Then few hours later I get email from ford saying your order is confirmed. Which tells me the dealer dropped the ball on my order and just entered it now?

If this is true. Am I late to the party? And put into wave 2, or possible to still get mine soon?
Anyone else have an order within say the past month and have build dates yet?

It depends on your dealer. Every dealer was supposed to get 1 allocation for Job 1. If they already gave their allocation to someone else, then they screwed you and you'll have to wait a while. If they still have their allocation available, then there's a chance you get a build date soon.

I got the only one.. so they say. Just like they said it was ordered end of May. But guess we'll see?

I ordered mine on Dec 22, got my email from ford that same day, and got my production e-mail on January 13th. Scheduled for production March 18th. Mine was the 2nd Ranger Raptor ordered from my dealership. Sorry to make things even more confusing, but unfortunately, I dont think anyone will be able to give you a straight answer. If everyone here is right about 1 per dealer, mine shouldn't have a production date.

Ok December is fairly recent. So I'll keep my fingers crossed.
My 19 fx4 is getting up there on miles. Just want to trade it before it loses too much of its value.

As a thought, maybe they didn't enter your email on the order back in May and just updated the order with your email? You could call ford and have them check your order and ask them when was it originally ordered. Their # is 800 334-4375 , you need your Order and Sales Code numbers which your dealer should have given you already, if not, get info from your dealer.

One other possibility could be that they originally entered your order as a stock order and then after you contacted them to see where your order is they changed to retail. This gives you the direct email notifications from Ford.

Interestingly enough, I ordered May 26th when order banks opened - dealer entered as stock. On June 30th, I had my dealership look into possibility of changing to retail. Later that day I got an email from Ford, same as the OP's email above. Then later that day got a text from my guy letting me know they talked to their regional manager who told then to go ahead and switch my order to retail. My order date also changed from May 26 to June 30. So if it was changed from stock to retail, order date may not be technically accurate.

Same for me, I ordered May 26th as a retail order & then Ford said no, it has to be a stock order. Then they come back on June 26th & say to change back to retail which my dealer did on June 28th. My dealer cancelled the stock order & changed my original order # one digit & that made it look like I didn’t order until a month later than when I actually did which kind of pissed me off but what could I do at that point. Anyways, I now have a VIN & a build week of 3/11/24 so hopefully I’m good now.

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened. I talked to ford today. The order was entered as retail yesterday
